  1. I just moved this response to the other thread about casey as this ones about training. Great work on the pics !!!!
  2. I could be happier....... If we had stolen him from those cheats at princess park!
  3. HOW EXCITING IS THIS...... I think I have read somewhere that he can kick to, so does that make him potientially better then goodes?????? Thats if Nik Nak is good enough. He could well go down as a #2 who hardly played. He is a circus act and I doubt will ever be too much more, able to do the odd freakish thing, never good enough to match it with the best.. Jurrah - is already rated as a "Footballer" so the question is will nik nat be good enough to stand next to Jurrah in a few years? (Nickname = Jurrasic???) STOP TALKING ABOUT THE OTHER BLOKE HE DIDN'T GET DRAFTED BY US!!!! - WHO CARES IF HE IS IN THE MEDIA
  4. He could well be by rd 1 next year. He is that sort of guy that will attract the media if he has a couple of good NAB games, boy for the bush sort of stuff. lets cross our fingers (p.s who cares about the other guy, this tread is about the best news we could have gotten today a real KPP for the future!)
  5. That was always going to happen. Wait until tomorrows paper it will be even worse, but this is the biggest news since watts so I guess we had might as well get used to it. I'm just glad the MFC have gone down the path of what looks like one very very good future forward. One thing I would like to see in the news a bit more is the direction the MFC has taken with indiginous players. Years ago not many, but i'm glade we have a list of players second to none and have taken the mantle off essendon for have the best quality indiginous players. if it was the filth it would be all over the paper. Maybe a good column for G Lyon to write!
  6. who - could be anyone but the interesting thing that I read into this is: Would you want co-captains in 2009? YES [ 10 ] ** [7.87%] NO [ 117 ] ** [92.13%] Is there a date in the calender that the leadership group has to be named? Re some of the prev posts.... I would have thought a captancy debate should be about why someone should be not why they shouldn't. Come on guys there all great leaders of our club anyway and we should not be dragging any of their names through the mud. For mine Brock © with Green or Bruce (VC)
  7. No way these days would a club take a player who can't play because its the right thing to do. He is a rookie and now has a 2nd chance. The club would have seen something in the first place right?
  8. The last AFL player I can remember with paws like those was stewie lowe.
  9. Really if you were Jurrah you couldn't have choosen a better result then be at melbourne. We have a great support network with the other boys also from the NT. I just hope his body's not fragile! Those big hands look impressive!
  10. I agree with this, surely this is probably the least speculative pick. Hopefully takes the next step!
  11. Have you been to many games over the last couple of years? its our middle that has let us down. Thats where we have been getting smashed!
  12. I think the circle is now complete, well done the recruiting team this year. Great mix, talent etc etc etc...... BRING ON 09
  13. 19 FRE Matthew DeBoer Claremont A bit of a suprise, I thought would have gone top 10 the way everybody was talking him up.
  14. Any Chance of Liam Jurrah playing rd 1. Having already had VFL experience, I'm sure if his fit will play pre-season and if goes alright could well be in contention for rd 1 v Kanga's
  15. #1 Rookie Jordie McKenzie http://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/articl...ong_sports.html
  16. Maybe he has gotten taller since being at the filth
  17. Lets hope he will be better then nick-nak. Sounds like he can actually play rather then just being a circus act
  18. from the Filth.... Liam Jurrah No. 15 Born 23/9/88 188 cm 78 kg Recruited from Yuendumu Magpies. Jurrah is a player of rare talent. An amazing kick, fantastic hands and moves effortlessly. Has excellent skills. Recruited from Yuendumu Magpies in the Central Australian Football League. Looks like a good talent - is there any reason why he was not taken in the ND?
  19. Surely De-Bore or Casey S 1st rookie
  20. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun Claiming to have picks as they happen!
  21. And hopefully seating for 25k allowing us to play the smaller crowd pullers and maybe geelong (Give em a taste of their own medicine!). With the current economic climate I suprised the ALF is not pushing forward with this. Great to see Martin being drilled to play forward! Just another string to our bow if it comes off!
  22. What time does the PSD start today? Is there any live coverage?
  23. The only reason i see for us not to draft cousins is if we are tanking for next years draft already. If cus was to play 18+ games next year he would be a big chance of winning our B+F.
