  1. Except for the fact that had we drafted Mac Andrew, we would have missed out on JvR so I don't think we were screwed over at all. GC17 did us a favour taking him.
  2. 6. Jack Viney 5. Christian Petracca 4. Trent Rivers 3. Clayton Oliver 2. Alex Neal-Bullen 1. Angus Brayshaw
  3. People have been known to have fingers broken in a firm handshake so the AFL owes players a duty of care to ban handshaking both before and after games because of the possibility that the practice could cause injury, albeit that the contact might not be high.
  4. And if you listen very carefully, you can hear his neck merrily clicking away …
  5. Not at all. And by the by, I read that in the first half at least, Reid played in the middle.
  6. He could have been anybody’s actually. He played with the Casey Scorpions and showed at the time, that he was a goal kicker. IIRC our own recruiting people made the decision not to treat him as a priority for recruiting.
  7. If I be Hawk fan, I be on platform 4 Richmond Station now.
  8. The way the Cats are going in the third quarter, they should be above the Dockers on the ladder by the end of the game.
  9. So we have one player in the Metro side tied to us as a father-son who will cost draft points if we select him early and another in the Country side who we can only draft if he is not picked inside the top 40. The worse they perform the better it is for us and the best thing to do is hide them away. We can't do that if they make these representative sides though, can we?
  10. An American punk rock band from the 1970s. What would they know about grammar?
  11. 6. Max Gawn 5. Bayley Fritsch 4. Jack Viney 3. James Jordan 2. Clayton Oliver 1. Christian Salem
  12. Toby Bedford is on track to achieve some sort of record this season. He’s been the sub for all 5 Melbourne games (activated once only in Round 1). This has enabled him to double up for each of Casey’s games this season so by the end of the day today he will have 9 games on the board. Five for Melbourne and 4 for Casey.
  13. I think it has to be said that Jon Ralph’s little campaign last week against Ben Brown’s suspension (for being too light) was nasty and completely over the top. The player in question contributed to the incident by running straight at Brown whose clumsy attempt to fend him off deserved the 2 weeks (reduced to 1 with a guilty plea). That player was unhurt and played the game out without any signs of injury and we all know how much the MRP is influenced by the impact of the hit in determining the penalty. He wasn’t KOd and the penalty handed out was adequate - but not to this HS reporter. Time for them to give up their anti Melbourne vendetta.
  14. Based on the market above, you would think that playing Coburg at home is going to be a shoe in with 16 AFL listed players available.
  15. 6 Max 5 May 4 Trac 3 Fritta 2 Clarrie 1 Kozzy
  16. Kynan Brown is a bottom ager at Oakleigh born 13 January, 2005. He’s 180cm tall and could get his chances in the next semester when many APS players are called upon to play Saturday school football.
  17. I found this article -A revamp for the Melbourne Academy These are the boys who would now be a year or two away from the draft (my highlights in red). 18. Fair dinkum unbelievable. Compare his comments about Luke Jackson with his comments in both power rankings and phantom draft over Mac Andrew.
  19. Sorry, have I missed something? Didn't the trade period finish last week?
  20. Hence, why we're now trying to improve our draft position. Good luck Tim Lamb!
  21. I don't know what's happened to Demonlanders. Has a premiership made us soft or something? Surely the first response to this thread should be that we want Adelaide's first pick in the draft or no deal!
