I work in in the Tyre Industry and feedback I get from business owners who deal with him, very arrogant, hard to deal withoes etc etc. So this is no surprise, great stuff LD fo if supporting the club but if you cant see the Hankook brand on the Jumper u r Blind!!!
-
I second this! lets not forget what the club was like in 2008????
-
It is becoming very clear that the expansion clubs which are offering ridiculous amounts money of to very young uncontracted players who were early draft picks to clubs such as Adelaide & now Melb is putting extreme pressure on football depts.Imagine seasoned players like Jamar,Frawley All Australian getting paid 400-500K less then Scully a 20yo???. What the AFL have done is create a situation if the club does not match GWS to retain Scully they look like they are not capable of keeping talent & if they do they risk allienating the rest of the playing group.

Remember those words by Daniher?? Thats what he identified what the MFC needed to install as their Culture. I see posts on here as staying positive etc What crap! toadys loss is not acceptable & has damaged our the MFC brand if not long term damage to the young kids confindence Bailey needs to be held accountable & his game plan is flawed. The gap between wins & losses are too big. How can a team perform so bad & with all the defensive press & flooding tactics?? All MFC members have saved this club with their own money & we cannot sit back & be the laughing stock of the afl world! Bailey has cleaned out the list, aquired many early draft picks, who may walk due to no future of ever winning a flag ( Scully???) So MFC board please be ruthless & ask Bailey to leave & invest to find the right coach Im 47 next week & yet to see a flag!!!
-
I have never been ashamed to call myself a Dees member until today! The whole club including coaches, board, & players need to come out & formally apoligise for this discgraceful effort! Bailey needs to go!!
-
I have followed the MFC for over 40yrs & toady Im ashamed/emabarased to be a member! Even the dark days of the 70s & eraly 80s were not this bad! Bailey please go!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Its been almost 25yrs since 87 & 46yrs since 64 how much more patient is required!
-
This area of the MFC has always been an issue which continues to raise its ugly head. I saw it in the 80s with Northeys sides,in the 90s with Balme & also the 2000s with Daniher. They all have the same common theme start playing well, they would always drop games to just miss out making top 4 & missing out on double chances. Daniher had up & down years with the same list of players. What I saw on Friday night after beating Essendon was all this back slapping, well done, celebrations etc. Were was the senior leadership on the feild to pull in all the players & say that enjoy the moment but this is the standard we must play at every time wepull on the jumper! I was not expecting to win against the filth who are are premiership favourites but it seems that the palyers mental toughness to follow up from last week goes missing. Cant blame the kids but many experience players should be ashamed! Is it the coaching? game plan? Bailey has had 4 yrs to implement a culture of 1 percentes, in this he has failed & the MFC cannot afford to allow this culture to continue with the likes of Trengove,Gysberts,Scully,Taspcott,Gawn or we will have another generation of players making finals but not going all the way!

Spot on mate. How much money is Judd going to be paid under the table? What creditabilty does Pratt have? Imagine the stress they will have when the other players demand higher contracts
-
Look at the low draft picks Ling, chapman etc they were drafted many years ago & its no luck that the club was able to develop them. My point is that if Geelong can do it we can too. With Bailey & Connoly they can develelop our list
-
This article tells all that player development can win you a flag and a team of champions not just champions! Look no Judd was drafted! Brass tacks of champion team 02 October 2007 Herald Sun Jon Anderson GEELONG recruiting manager Stephen Wells is a master builder when it comes to football teams. Embracing success: Steve Johnson and Cameron Mooney on Saturday. Picture: Michael Dodge As the Cats continue to bask in their premiership glory, Wells explains how he brought this champion group together over several well-planned years: Josh Hunt (draft pick 44, 2000) "Played as a Victorian under-16 representative at full-forward, but one day at North Ballarat his speed, body strength and ball use on a wing convinced us." Matthew Scarlett (father-son, 1997) "We knew him very well from Geelong Falcons but could never have known how good he would turn out. But he was always able to get a fist in even when he seemed beaten, because of his speed and timing." Tom Harley (trade, 1998) "Obviously was very strong overhead and had enormous character, but since arriving he has added the ability to take small forwards out of the contest." Andrew Mackie (pick 7, 2002) "His leg speed, great instinct for the game and ball use were huge pluses, plus his versatility." Darren Milburn (pick 48, 1995) "Always very safe overhead, a good decision-maker with natural footballing instincts." Corey Enright (pick 47, 1999) "Had the versatility we were looking for and really can play just about anywhere through the midfield." Max Rooke (rookie elevation, 2002) "Played as a forward for Casterton, but a couple of times in the midfield showed great aerobic capacity and a real grit for the ball." David Wojcinski (pick 24, 1998) "We picked `Wojo' for his total speed at a time when it was a choice between he or a tall forward." Jimmy Bartel (pick 8, 2001) "With his total commitment, skill and bravery, he was a very easy choice." Joel Corey (pick 8, 1999) "He was outstanding at every level he played and has ability to play well in big games. Does he ever play a bad game?" Mathew Stokes (pick 61, 2005) "Was a brilliant player as a junior and then proved his toughness in finals for Woodville-West Torrens." Nathan Ablett (father-son, 2004) "Just raw, natural ability with good endurance and all the skills. He's going to be some player." Steve Johnson (pick 24, 2001) "Uncanny goalkicking ability was obvious even at age 17 when he made All-Australian." Paul Chapman (pick 31, 1999) "Was always tough, was always skilled and was always playing well in the last quarter because he is so competitive." Cameron Mooney (trade, 1999) "He was what we needed after Leigh Colbert went to the Kangaroos when we also got a draft pick for Corey Enright." Gary Ablett (father-son, 2001) "A total team player who handballed more than he kicked as a junior and was always so good one-on-one." Brad Ottens (trade, 2004) "Great skill for someone of his size who fitted our needs exactly (Ottens was originally taken at No. 2 in the 1997 draft by Richmond)." Steven King (compensatory selection, 1995) "Played a lot as a forward, but it was his athleticism and ruck work that appealed to me." Cameron Ling (pick 38, 1999) "Loved his character and even though he was mainly a forward for Geelong Falcons, I once saw him get 38 possessions in the midfield." James Kelly (pick 17, 2001) "Always read the play well, very good one-on-one and ultra-competitive." Shannon Byrnes (rookie elevation, 2004) "Good mark for his size, but we really drafted him for his speed and competitive instincts." Joel Selwood (pick 7, 2006) "Just a great, natural footballer with an outstanding football brain, who keeps wanting to learn

 As much as I wanted Judd to come to the MFC & posted my frustrations, this should not stop our club in developing a list to win a flag! Geelong are proof that if all the depts of a footy club are running smoothly & you develop your list you can win a flag. Geelong didnt draft a Judd 3-4 yrs ago they developed their list. We have pick 4 and we need to address our gaps in our list. We have a new coach, Dean Bailey who is about teaching & developing Connolly football ops mgr & List development along with Craig Cameron they can built a great list So lets focus on what we need to do not on what if we had Judd!

Mrs Judd's new hit single "Golden Facilities"
dees64 replied to David Williamson's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry Mr Judd that we cant provide a 5 star facility for you. We wouldnt want you to have to degrade yourself to use sub- standard equipment and be around a working class environment. You stuck up toff! I hope this inspires & motivates our players to stick it up him & prove to the football world that you dont need a Lexus centre to win a flag! Sorry Mr Judd that we cant provide you with networking opportunities that Eddie can, to set you & your Partner up! -
Geelong has demonstrated to all Victorian clubs that we can win flags Geelong had a 5million debt back in 1999 & without any AFL assistance they are now profitable They have drafted all young kids & developed them They drew a line in the sand with player discipline eg Steve johnson goes on to win the Norm Smith Dont Tell me that its too hard for Demons to do exactly what Geelong has done because when you get the right people with the correct vision & strategies along with goods planning the above is achievable!

On track to finally get a home base & quality training facilities in Olympic park previous boards couldnt achieve Lets not forget some 3-4 years ago the finacial mess & board problems Guitnick etc Mate think before u post such crazy ideas
-
 What else can I say We need a cleanout and a change of culture We need to get Sheedy who will change our culture and market our club in terms of increase awareness & attract sponshership and increase membership ( which will pay for his salary) Sheedy will do a cleanout & develop our list & teach our young I just cant believe that the players know their playing future is on the line but yet put in the crap the displayed tonite! We need to do a Hawthorn & go for kids in the trade to rebuild again

An open letter to Paul Gardner
dees64 replied to Jonesy is the next captain's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mate your letter should be about supporting the club not trying to be negative. Neal new the criteria when he took the job and new what was in front of him at the beginning of the season. Gardiner would have had many discussions with him regarding his future etc. Lets face the Facts the guy has had 10yrs to win a flag yes he did put his heart & soul into the club no one is questoning that hence he can coach out his contract. But you fail to understand that maybey its not just about this years result. 2004 on top of the ladder round 18 lose the next 4 in a row drop out of the top four lose to essendon first final 2005 second on the ladder round 11 lose the next 7 in row just make the eight flogged by Geelong in fnal 2006 in the top four towards the end of season lose to bottom place Carlton & in front against the cats by 8 goals during the 3rd qtr and come away with a draw. Drop out of top four & miss double chance again. Win first final but have to travel to Perth to play Freo and lose. 2003 Finish down the bottom after playing finals in 2002. 2001 Finish out of the Eight after playing in Grand Final. 1999 Finish down the bottom after playing in prelim final in 98. The main issue is MENTAL TOUGHNESS I could excuse 99,01,03 ageing list etc but the last 4 years results clearly show that their is a problem and he just cant fix it and tough decisions need to be made. We need a complete review of the footy dept and changes need to be made. This now will also put a lot of players on notice and will give the club plenty of time to appoinnt the best person for the job. We should treat Neal with dignity and applaud his efforts but also applaud the club for saying that we need to get some fresh eyes & ideas. -
Melbournefc Statement - Review of Football Department
dees64 replied to Gorgoroth's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lets face when a review is conducted and you are made to jump thru hoops to keep your job as coach its basically saying see you later mate. I feel for Daniher as much as I wanted to see him win a flag because he put his heart & soul into the club it cames a time when our entire footy dept & playng list needs to be reviewed and there is no easy or nice way of doing it. Gardner & the board have a resposibilty to ensure that no stone is left unturned to find the best solutons to win a flag for the MFC and unfortunately the coach has had 10yrs & our senior list continue to go missing. They just need to ensure that we treat Daniher with has much dignity as possible and both partys walk away with no bad feelings. -
MENTAL TOUGHNESS is the reason why we continue to fail as the above history shows. Daniher cannot solve this problem which contnues to raise its ugly head. Brock Mclean has also come out & stated that our mental toughness is an issue, this is a 21 yr old. Our so called leaders always go missing. Daniher has had 10yrs to fix this problem but nothing has changed.

Melbourne bring disappointment down to an artform
dees64 replied to praha's topic in Melbourne Demons
If the footy club was treated like a business & we measure success of a business like winning a flag then when Melb would not be in business now! -
It will be a very brave board to give Daniher another contract. The likely hood of sitting at 0-11 is very real and injuries aside the team is playing like crap and our so called leaders always go missing. Too many times have we seen long lossing streaks and the same old rehtoric that comes from Daniher & players that we need to do this & that etc enough is enough. Its time for a new direction with different ideas and a different voice that will make the changes that are required. I look at the spirit of how the Kangaroos are playing with all their financial issues but yet they find a way. And when I look at my team Iam emberassed and ask what is it that makes Melbourne play the way it plays. We have posters on this site saying we should continue to go with Daniher and I say do we risk another 2-3 yrs with a bloke who just cant address the mental toughness issue?
-
 Are you not used to these type of performances where have you been in the last 10yrs? Daniher"s teams dont have a mental toughness issue It will be a very brave board to give Daniher another contract when we will be sitting at 0-11! We are the laughing stock of the AFL!
