  1. Tough for Millsy to get back at the minute. Bate is doing a tremendous job at CHF, running hard all day to present, and the boy has great hands over his head even when running full tilt. However I still think Miller has a future as a key defender but they need to use him in this fashion at Sandy now if they hope to mold him is such a way. The other problem we have is that if he doesn't play 6 or 8 games in the second half of the season his trade value will be little even if he is tearing it apart at Sandy. 6 or 8 even average games for the MFC will probably elevate his trade value at year end which is probably where he provides us with the most use.
  2. And didn't we get reminded of him being the ex-backline coach of the Pies about 1000 times. Who gives a fyin' f... What he should have done if he really wanted the Pies to win was get Sh!thouse on the blower and tell him to remove his head from his anus and get someone who isn't a first gamer on to Robbo. Maxwell was getting carved by Bater anyway so he had a perfect oppurtunity for the swap.
  3. That was terriffic WJ. thoroughly enjoyed
  4. Ooze has a great record against the Filth. He seems to like the big occassion. I think he will be a handful should he play and Danners would have realised this.
  5. Or in Ben Cousins case inhale the lines, or run the lines, the Freeway, the jungle, the river...away from Police
  6. Richmond is always after someone
  7. The man can play. Do one of those mental/psychological tests (you know the ones that they do on prospective police to learn if they are likley to goo postal with a gun in their hands etc) on him and if he passes get him in red and blue.
  8. Maybe he need to knock the top off one
  9. Dal runs lines and kicks well but I don't think he is the answer. Somewhat similar to Trav. A Daniel Pierce/Burgoyne type would be ideal, complimentary to our inside midfieild improvement likely to come in the next several years. Quick, clever, creative, good disposal and hits the scoreboard
  10. The hidden jewel might be Ben Cousins, the article mentions WCE might be able to retain Judd should he choose to move on. I would be keen on taking a punt on Cuz despite his recent history. The man can play, I wonder what it would cost for a brain transplant however?
  11. Riewoldt - several city streets - Dal Santo. If he could kick straight i'd add a few more city streets. Having said that the likliehood of landing either is slim at best.
  12. I disagree Nasher, it might be a fortune compared to what they previously would have been spending but in comparison to what a competition generating the kind of money that it is i bet its a drop in the ocean. Put it this way, and i am only going by assumption here not on fact. Say for instance the MLB or EPL or NBA might spend 5% of its total expenditure on its website, i bet the AFL only spends about 2%. That's what I reckon you would find.
  13. The AFL website is mutton dressed up as lamb. They are trying to make out its a Ferrari but have committed to paying for a Hyundai. Unfortunately this is becoming more and more common in business and life.
  14. We've been pathetic in 6 out of 10 games, competitive but not good enough in 3 and managed to crack it for a win against an interstate club at home last weekend in unconvincing fashion after leading by a seemingly insurmountable amount at 3 qtr time. I love your optimism but what really makes you believe there is any chance we'll win 7 in a row?
  15. Concussion maybe? Don't know just thinking out loud, or in writing as the case may be.
  16. gee Flash got his head in there more than a few times.
  17. Thats true bub but makes it even tougher
  18. I agree we would take that all week long and twice on Sundays but i dont think that will quite get it done.
  19. The thing people need to remember is that if Judd can't get where he wants to go he will probably settle on staying put. So as far as WCE are concerned all they need to do is look like they are playing fair ball with asking price and never quite come to an agreement to hang on to him. As far as Melbourne is concerned its bloody hard to see what will appease the Eagles trade wise. First pick is a cert, but what else? Dunn, Bell, Sylvia or a combination. there's not much else with any real value outside of the obvious Green/Bruce or Mclean/Rivers. The latter pairing of which would not be a wise trade for MFC. On top of that the players we suggest for trade have to be willing to relocate themselves and their families interstate before the trade gets anywhere. We might have some pull here if they are out of contract but even if they are all of the players mentioned above would be certain draftees in a pre season draft so could end up at a Richmond or Carlton on even better money without having to relocate to Perth. All in all if Judd does end up at Melbourne I'll be mightily impressed, all the stars in the universe would need to be aligned.
  20. Correct OX. He was excellent this week with 20 odd disposals but like other players with booming kicks he can cause damage with only a few kicks.
  21. Speaking of 2nd ruckman I thought PJ was terrifc on Saturday. In fact I think he has earnt his paycheck every week since Jamar was dropped.
  22. [censored] at best today Thommo. Godders had him covered from the first bounce.
  23. Can people at least understand Fagan's comments on Friday now. Its called motivating by instilling confidence. What he did helped Wheats believe he can make a difference at this level and he did. Full props to Wheats for making it happen but spare a thought to our FD for using the human pysche as a tool to lift a player and side.
  24. Would it be safe to say you would find this to be the case with most clubs. Melbournes stats look a bit inflated by Pikeys unbelievably lucky run but most clubs would have at least 2-3 players from other clubs in their team most weeks i would have thought.
