We’ll have to agree to disagree. There is a time and a place for consuming something that negatively impacts the senses (even something as innocent as a beer). Maybe if he wasn’t affected by alcohol, he wouldn’t have said such a belittling and arrogant comment. May is all too happy to lambast other teammates in open play, yet he ignores his own behavioural patterns that seemingly cause him to chastise others. Hypocrite. A gifted player, yes. An integral part of our back-line and team, absolutely. Not a great teammate or leader it would seem. It appears with May it’s do as I say, not as I do.

May should not be on the grog during the season (in fact I think the entire playing group shouldn’t drink in season). This is at least his 2nd alcohol related transgression with us. As a member of the leadership group he needs to display and preserve the highest of standards to strengthen our culture.

None of our forwards have any mongrel or competitive see you next Tuesday about them. We’d have to be the ‘nicest’ forward line going around. No opposition back would fear what’s behind them. We lack presence and desperation at the moment (we have all year). We need to get nastier in the forward line, making back lines second guess themselves. Doubt is a wonderful tool we simply are not harnessing at the moment.

Trac has been in quite a bit of a form slump. Why not move him forward and have him play 60/40 or 50/50 forward/mid. Might just provide the change up he needs to get him going again.

Easier for us to set up our defence. We have almost overcorrected, prioritising our defence way more than our offensive game.

Our back line has been masking how badly we have been going up the ground for most of the year.

We are definitely missing the hunger of last year, and whole team defence.

Christ we need to sort out our forward line…..pronto.

And if the leadership group and all our indigenous players give it the thumbs up.
