  1. We won't know if this will be a successful appointment for a few years yet, however, i much prefer a CEO with AFL experience as opposed to the likes of Paul McNamee/Tracy Gaudry coming from other sporting fields. Approved by the AFL (which is still unfortunately a necessary tick), approved by the board and the stand-out candidate in a field of 5, of which PJ would have had the biggest say. Comfortable with this decision, and what's more, it keeps Mahoney firing in his current role as Footy GM (another big tick).
  2. I think we have more important things to worry about at MFC headquarters, than the current circumstances surrounding Watts.
  3. For the time being deefella, we are 8-4. If we are to miss the finals this year, there will be plenty of time for us all to air our MFCSS grievances. But until such point in time, try to stay optimistic.
  4. Yep he's had a horror run. He just doesn't seem to want to be in the game at the moment. Maybe a spell in the Magoos?
  5. Time to bring in Hunt for Bernie? He's not offering much anymore is old Bernie. At least with Hunt there's a bit of pace, something we have severely lacked today.
  6. Smashed in the clearances all day. Lost it in the middle. The back-line have panicked with the amount of ball that has come in non-stop, whilst the forward line hasn't been all too effective with the limited ball that has been in our forward 50.
  7. Who replaces JM as head of footy then?
  8. I don't at all. Had the Dees job on a platter, refused, then decided to adopt the basket-case that is GC. Thank god we didn't appoint that type of ineptitude.
  9. Yeah, the last time we installed a CEO from a different sport was Paul McNamee. Let's stick to those who know football.
  10. Well if revenge for missing the finals isn't enough, surely Goody will be mentioning that second spot is up for grabs on Monday.
  11. Might be the Aborigine version, similar to how we played ours after the win against the Crows in Alice.
  12. Well if revenge for missing the finals isn't enough, surely Goody will be mentioning that second spot is up for grabs on Monday.
  13. Polec had an absolute shocker in the first, but he was the opposite and magnificent in the second.
  14. If we just keep on winning, everything else doesn't matter.
  15. 2004. And how Nicho let that [censored] ball go between his legs i will never know.
  16. I'm actually not disappointed in that. Wagner, as hard as he tries, is very suspect with his disposal.
  17. I may be in the minority, but Joel Smith just doesn't impress me. Of course he is no Lever, but still, he leaves me feeling underwhelmed.
  18. I think it's just Ollie wanting a few more dollars added on to the deal put in front of him.
  19. Winning this Monday will help ease a little of that pain (revenge). But only a finals appearance will make up for what happened last year.
  20. I only want to see him kick it more because he is a lethal kick as well. He can pump it a mile, and equally put it down the throat of our forwards. But as the saying goes, if it ain't broke.............
  21. Yeah but PJ wasn't part of the "boy's" club. He was an outsider recommended by the AFL. Wouldn't want a Lethlean type anywhere near our club.
