  1. Wait, isn’t today’s 3rd party player payments virtually the same thing? The big/favourite clubs of the AFL did it first, then to avoid liability, the AFL ticks off every other club being able to do it. Either way, HQ makes [censored] up on the fly. They have done so for a while, only it has exploded under Gil’s watch. AFL is no longer the fans game and hasn’t been for nearly 1-2 decades. The AFL is now played primarily to make money, not play football. The COVID crisis clearly indicates this. There would be no football games happening if this wasn’t the case.
  2. If he was in Essenscum jumper they’d be demanding a top 10 pick. i reckon he’d be worth a late first/early second rounder, but I’d rather trade him for an already established player.
  3. He has played a mere 33 games. A ton of development left in him. If he is able to play the majority of the next 67 games like he did yesterday, we’ll have the player our forward line has needed since Neita left.
  4. AFL’s got to fill the purse strings some how dieter, what with COVID taking away all their earnings and all
  5. Best passage I have seen was the 2002 EF against the Roos. Jolly tapped the centre bounce down to Johnson who took 3 bounces and goaled just outside 50. Rinse and repeat!
  6. There aren't a whole heap of players on our list that have much currency and could also be seen as expendable. The likes of Brayshaw, dare i say it TMAC and to a much lesser extent ANB are the only one's that could give us some value at the trade table. Would obviously need to throw in next years first rounder as well. But if there was even the slightest chance King became available (he did sign a long-term contract last year), all 10 Vic clubs and even the 7 other interstate clubs would be trying to bring him in to their system.
  7. Good old Gunston popping up when the game is over. He is the Hernan Crespo of the AFL.
  8. What are the odds the game will be about how poor the Dorks were and not how good we were
  9. It's about time we start to be proactive instead of reactionary.
  10. That's it Dees, play to the siren
  11. Need to finish off strong here Dees.
  12. Yes, will be interesting to see how we come out after half time. Wipe the scoreboard and start again Dees.
  13. Lever and May starting to click, not a coincidence that it is when OMAC is brought back in to the team. You know what you get from him, reliability.
  14. HQ is afraid Clarkson will sook it up again in his presser
  15. Maybe his 2018 was the exception
  16. 17-4 inside 50's, gotta make them count
  17. He was wearing a red+blue jumper
  18. Needs to show Fritsch how to kick
  19. Disposal efficiency = 61.5% efficiency inside forward 50 = 25% Good to see we are working on our deficiencies ?
  20. Makes Brayshaw look like Usain Bolt
  21. Yesterday was just his 32nd game. He still has a heap of learning and development to go through before he reaches his peak. Just needs to learn how to use his big bodied presence more. The 2018 EF & SF shows he can do it.
  22. There comes a point in time when health after footy becomes more important, and Paddy has well and truly passed it. It's not worth it for his sake.
  23. He should be designated as our #1 up forward, leading our attack. I reckon he will come on if given that kind of responsibility.
  24. The only way it hurts the perpetrator is in the hip pocket. $50,000 fine (and yes, i'm being serious. If they can't pay then off to prison you go).
