  1. Gotta get the economy going again somehow Wells!
  2. That, and i think we'll try and run them off their feet, like Port did to us in round 1 last year. It's been well documented that improving our fitness was a key aspect of the off-season. Let's put it to the test.
  3. This has me fearing that our plan is to constantly bomb it out of the middle and hope the small forwards can mop up the ground ball in the forward line ?
  4. A premiership is a premiership, no matter what anyone says. Hell yes i'd want to win it this year if we were given the chance
  5. Go You Demons! Time to be unsociable. Target Kennedy's elbow.
  6. You've won me over for that reason alone Singa. A big yes from me!!!!
  7. Ummm.............. he already does. Gawn is a premier ruckman who plays on (and more often than not beats) the oppositions ruckman. However, he has shown on numerous occasions his ability in taking numerous contested pack marks in both the forward and back line. Uncontested marking is a cake-walk compared to the stuff Gawn does. With the money Max is on, he should be doing it (and continually is). Subsequently so should Lever. But if that's seriously the stupidest thing you've ever heard Undeeterred, then i am wasting my time even trying to justify it to you.
  8. We were everywhere against the Cats. Never seen so much red&blue at a game before. We had at least 50k (more likely 55-60k) Melbourne supporters at the EF, Cats approx 30k, 5k at most would've been neutral fans (though were probably barracking for us).
  9. Mine has to be midway through the third quarter against the Roos in the PF way back in 2000. Knowing for almost an hour you're through to a GF was a wonderful feeling. Would like to experience it in the big dance.............one day.
  10. I was Row 2, level one right on that left forward flank when Henderson fell over. We all jumped up (as did the majority of the G that night) and had a perfect view from behind when Hannan nailed the sealer!!! Great night. And the start of a great week.
  11. The AFL as an organisation are a disgrace, RGRS. They wouldn't know what suburban/country or grassroots footy looks like (and thank god for that). I wouldn't want the purity of local footy to get infected by the monstrosity that is the AFL. My only interest in it is the MFC. If i am lucky enough to finally see us win a flag, that would just about end any interest i may have with the big game.
  12. Irregardless, ScoMo self-isolating would leave the country in no worser state even if there was no corona virus going around. In fact make that politicians all together....................................and the filth.
  13. I don't think i've seen him lay more than 2 tackles in a game either.
  14. See i knew that, and yet somehow i still posted it ???
  15. Mark McClure produced Sam McClure.......................................enough said.
  16. with the money he is on, i'd expect it to be
  17. still doesn't mean it's not turning into virtually a non-contact sport.
  18. calls to ban the bump, now monitoring tackling......................this game is turning into touch football.
  19. you would have the last virtually untouched place on Earth infected with Filth, DC? That's cold, even by penguin standards.
  20. As far as kicking skills go, he isn't in the minority there (as far as our list is concerned). One-dimensional...........sure, but i'd rather that than a jack of all trades master of none type player (ANB). Maybe not a 'leader' in the traditional captain's sense, but he plays his heart out and will carry the team on his back if he has to. How long ago were we bemoaning the fact that we had no players' that actually gave a f#ck. He is one who absolutely does. Give me a fit Jack Viney over a team of lazy players' every day of the week, at least with Jack you know he's not gonna leave anything in the tank.
  21. When there are the likes of Robinson and Ralph to read, how could anyone afford not to @Nasher?
  22. Ralph is a 3rd rate journalist. I remember when they were announcing Goody's appointment to coach under Roos prior to becoming head coach, every station had the audio feed except for SEN. The reason being that Ralph was on it at that exact moment swearing black and blue that Goodwin was a sure thing to become the Crows head coach.
  23. Agreed, SWYL. Run the weagles off their feet. If we know one thing, we will be fit for round 1.
  24. I'd rather have Harmes as a HFF as opposed to a HBF. He would do well nullifying the oppositions quarterback (the present trend in attacking from the back-line).
