		GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide

Playing in 18 degree heat in August off 5 day turnaround after a red eye from Perth doesn’t help. Boys looked stuffed on the HT siren

In the position he is playing, zilch. But what if a mid goes down during the game? He’s good cover for that purpose.

		GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Adelaide

He’s playing to his strong suits, keeping separation and the using his athleticism to nullify contests or his leap to take some grabs.

Or he could work on it. Probably doesn’t see it as important. If his hand balling started go awry.....he’d then probably work on his game.

Fritsch is a very lazy and soft footballer. Has skated by on his undeniable talent but he has zero intensity. Kozzies form is a bit of a worry, last weeks incident aside, might need a weeks spell to refocus the mind and get rid of any niggles.

		AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURS

There’s talk of Matt Crouch possibly looking to come back to Victoria. Not exactly the class we need in the middle, because t could help out Clarrie and Trac with clearances.

		NON MFC: Rd 22 2021

It is. They should’ve played it down at KP to be fair, just to stick it up Hardwick all the more.

		NON MFC: Rd 22 2021

Would love the Giants to knock off the Tigers and end their finals chances once and for all. But the more belief GWS get, the more dangerous they’ll become in the finals. Just want to see a good match, and for the Dees to win Sunday. Last weekend was our lottery ticket coming up trumps.

		Steven May interview - SEN

Should be our skipper, with Lever as vice. Let Max just focus on footy.

		Tasmanian AFL Team

The AFL’s hubris prevents them from ever admitting that they seriously [censored] up naming GC as the 17/18th team. Just by reassuring Cochroach that they are safe, it shows that they don’t care about grass-roots football, just $. But we’ve all known that for a long time. Unfortunately the AFL is now more business than sport, and the gap is only getting wider

Joel Smith signs on for 2022

Agree ET. Not quite sure what the FD continue to see in him. Unless they plan on utilising him up forward (which they should’ve done from the beginning), he is a liability down back.

Maybe they plan to jettison a few players themselves.

		Training Ground?

i find it highly suspicious that Hocking was first with the Cats, went over to the AFL and is now back at the Cattery, and wouldn't you know another stage of funding gets ticked off on.

		Training Ground?

Geelong kissed on the [censored] again with another $142m to finish off KP (all paid for by the taxpayer of course). How much have they be given in total now for their ground redevelopment? Meanwhile, we're lucky to be getting a $3m upgrade of Gosch's paddock (to which the MFC has contributed to). FMD, when it comes to our turn Governments are going to be crying poor stating that there's no money left to give😠 https://www.heraldsun.com.au/subscribe/news/1/?sourceCode=HSWEB_WRE170_a&dest=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.heraldsun.com.au%2Fnews%2Fvictoria%2Ffinal-stage-of-kardinia-park-upgrade-revealed%2Fnews-story%2Fcac63c9645f7fe9f6b251496c1b9180e&memtype=anonymous&mode=premium

There’d be 10 Victorian clubs lining up for his services.

Luke ‘dogga’ Jackson rising star favourite

The upside of this kid is enormous. Starting to take his marks more consistently too, which will give him great confidence. Need to sign him up long-term along with his best mate

Hopper still without a contract is interesting (not that he is what we need). But he is quality nonetheless

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast

I’d argue the pinnacle of our season so far was our undefeated run to start the year. I’ve been on many journeys with this club, [censored] years of the 70’s & 80’s, the run in 87, the GF in 88, the journey of beating the Hawks twice in 2 weeks in 1990 (basically unheard of back then, only to lose to the Eagles after having a week off), 1994 with arguably our greatest ever forward line, 2000, seeing us going 14-4 then not winning another game in 04, the drought breaking 2018. There’s only 1 journey I want to be on and I hope like hell it is the journey I’m on this year. We have not been in a better position to achieve it for a very long time. When you’re aiming for the gold medal are you happy settling for the silver or bronze. Maybe you might be satisfied with that (no problem if you are), but I’m all or nothing.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast

Nowhere have I diminished the win. I’ve only taken umbrage at placing our record of 7-2 against top 8 sides as the pinnacle of our season so far.

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast

Nope not this win. The fact that we are 7-2 against top 8 teams so far counts for nothing if we don’t go all the way. Gotta make it count or it’s just a waste. Sure go ahead and celebrate winning the battles, I want to win the war.

Ummmm, last game of the year is the GF.

Posted the same in game day thread, but felt it warrants its own post again. Umpires can go EAD.

GAMEDAY: Rd 21 v West Coast

Game was stopped when we had a run-on, umps made sure to give the injectors the momentum after the break. Dees officials should ask some questions, Goody needs to tear some strips off the players before improving on his motivational skills.
