I'm sure a few of you have seen this e-mail doing the rounds, it might need an 18+ warning but very funny stuff.

I'm not really thinking about him in terms of where he might fit or what we lack. he's a first round draft pick from memory, over 190cm, very quick, can run & carry and break lines. if he turns out to be anything like i think he will, he'll fit in somewhere. now knowing he is under contract there is no way the dogs would do the deal for 18.

pick 18 would be a steal IMO, would do it in a heartbeat.

i'm sure you are right about the medicos and salary, but don't underestimate what port might want for him in real terms. port won't do a deal unless they feel like they are shafting someone.

could not agree more. his numbers since he has turned the corner have been excellent, now he needs to try to maintain and build on it over a longer period. i really think as the side improves he will become an elite footballer if he can keep his consistency on track.

it's only opinions i'm after, i wouldn't have thought that impossible to answer. what i'm wondering is, do those folk that suggested he was worth little more than a bag of chips 12 months ago, now consider him to be that good that he's off the market. i don't really care about what level of interest there is, moreso what each of us now consider his worth to be.

my view is the consistency is just about there, great kick particularly long for goal, excellent overhead, works inside and out, and he's not afraid to knock a few opponents into the middle of next week. i don't think his pace is a concern at all even though he isn't quick, and even though he will manage his OP for his career, it can't be too bad at the moment if he can roost it 65 with no signs of discomfort.

what pick range would you predict the level of interest to be at given it's a supposed weak draft?

12 months ago most on here were happy to trade Sylvia provided the right deal came along. there were those that aimed high and thought a second rounder was possible, and those from camp that thought he was worth little more than a packet of potato chips. i'm interested now in the thoughts of both camps to see if they would be prepared to trade, and what value is now placed on him. IMO he's bordering on elite and nothing short of a top ten would do, and even then i'm not sure i would trade.
