My hatred of Collingwood is enough to say that today is a great day for football. Nathan "FIGJAM" Buckley retired without a premiership. The bloke left Brisbane to lose 2 premierships to them! And a 3rd for good measure. May he always be remembered as the bloke who left a triple premiership side to play for the filth! Amen.

I'll add to that. Anyone who claims that a person is a drug taker and identifies that person is personally liable as well.

Jamar set to sign for 2 years....what a joke!!!
Choko replied to 9. David Neitz's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think it's a big mistake offering Jamar 2 years. The guy has one asset, and it's his size, but there is no evidence that he has any idea how to use his size. He makes no impact around the ground. Unless we are looking to give Sandy another good shot at a premiership, he should be offloaded, delisted, or AT WORST given 1 year on minimum wage. -
Sorry, I don't know who the admin is to write to about this, but can I suggest (strongly) that the posts here are likely to be defamatory in nature notwithstanding the cryptic nature of them. Shut it down. Your friendly defamation lawyer

Oh come on. In a heartbeat. It's a no brainer. He would come cheap if he is being shopped around, he has come from a successful culture, is durable, and I would love him in my side. But I think other clubs would take him first.

Anyone know if the filth supporters are going feral? I'll bet they are! No doubt in one syllable expletives!

Well, we don't know what the contract terms are, do we? We also don't know Carlton will seal the deal at the trade table. But yes, when Judd said: - Good facilities - Chance of immediate success - MCG - I would have signed on to the East Coast Eagles for under the market remuneration he clearly wasn't referring to Carlton. Therefore, he's a tool.
-
Except, nothing is for nothing. They will have to trade hard to get him. The WCE are [censored] as that he only gave one choice, and so they will play hardball and may even try to force his hand to accept one of the other clubs. I think he will go to Carlton, but their list won't be the same if he goes there.

I think his priorities for the game are all wrong and I will be happy to see the back of him. I think turning his back on the Telstra Dome transfer agreement sold out fans, and allowing the draw to be totally pillaged by the rich sides has created more inequity in our competition than ever. I think this compensation point is a farce - the AFL has created a self-fulfilling prophecy that creates the need for compensation. And yes, he has supported 16 teams, but he intervenes in Boardrooms (buying North shares, saying he supports Butterss, etc..) and would love North to be re-located/re-branded/destroyed. He is incapable of responding to criticism in a positive way, and is evasive when asked about issues that are controversial. He has swept many issues under the carpet, and the current TV deal is an absolute disgrace in that if you don't have Foxtel, you don't have footy.

I sincerely hope it's true. I hope the door doesn't hit him on the way out.

Haha - I don't think it's Connors' fault. I wuold recommend egging Judd's shiny scone when he plays for the Boos or the filth. Or hopefully our 4th pick will be built like the proverbial brick sh*thouse and clean him up!
-
I wrote a letter to Judd before he made his choice imploring him to come to Melbourne. I sent it to Connors. He probably used it to light a fire at his fireplace. Address was Chris Judd C/o Mr Paul Connors Unit 4, 606-608 Hawthorn Road EAST BRIGHTON VIC 3187

News from the Best and Fairest is that Josh Mahoney will be assistant coach at Melbourne in 2008. I am not sure for how long or what line he will coach. In addition, Dean Bailey said he put all players on notice that October 31 is officially the start of the pre-season, but all players are expected to put the work in to present on 31 October fully fit and ready. I am loving him already!

Chris Judd is just another softcock we dont need

A bit harsh mate! And we don't know where he is going yet. -
I was just thinking how amazing it is that the 2 sides in the grand final, and 3 of the 4 prelim finalists, did not play finals footy last year. Looking at the Cats, they basically made a leadership decision that they wanted to win the flag and nothing else was going to be good enough. So huge congratulations must go to them. They stayed focused, played team footy, and did not accept mediocrity. All of a sudden, no-one knows how they will ever be beaten, and people are talking about a "Cat Empire". Players that were not rated by some now have premiership medallions and wicked hangovers (the best solution for which is to get drunk!), and all of a sudden there are 9 All-Australians in the side and the West Coast Eagles are yesterday's news. Now on to the dees. Surely 2007 serves as an enormous motivator that no matter what happened in the past, it's the future that matters. There is no limit to how well a side can achieve with focus and a bit of luck and momentum. There's a saying I love, which is "In footy, nothing is as good or bad as it seems." It applies to every side (maybe except Brisbane during it's era!!!). We have a huge opportunity to come out next year and right some wrongs. New coach, new trades (hopefully the biggest fish of all!) and the memories of 2007 behind us, we can really build in 2008. We have some genuine optimism through a core group of youngsters coming through, we have some developing key position players, and about 6 "new recruits" including Rivers, Whelan, Bartram and a fit Brock (who now knows how to hold his own in a fight). This is what will keep me going from the end of trade week to Round 1, 2008!

Ok. What Hutchie said is this: Judd to Melb for picks 3, 9 and 21. Pick 9 we will get for Frawley to St Kilda. Now, not saying it's true. Simply saying that, as a matter of absolute fact, that is the word from Hutchie. He said we want to get it done early in trade week.
-
No, I am not. I'm just me, and it looks like I am puttin gmy life on the line here!!! If you have a look at the posts I made, I am not trying to big note myself. I have simply stated facts and tried to evaluate them. Hutchie said it owuld be announced today, then later in the same function, he said Monday. Because he did say it, it wouldn't surpise me if MNM got the same mail from the same function.
-
To clarify: Hutchie DID say that.
-
Haha - I'm not lying. But can you at least warn me which direction you're coming from. NOW, HAVING SAID I'M NOT LYING, THAT DOESN'T MEAN HUTCHIE IS RIGHT!
-
Ok, I found out what the rumour is. Hutchy told the gathering at the official MCG function that Judd will be announching Melb today. Apparently later on at the same function he said it will be announced Monday, but it's stitched up.
-
I just worked out who smsed. She is at the official AFL corporate lunch at the MCG as a guest. Let's see.
-
Well, it's someone who says they are at a corporate lunch. There are a few people it could be. That's not saying it's true. Not sure who would prank me which is the alternative!!
-
Sorry, I just wanted to get it out. I should say I find it massively suspicious that this would happen on GF eve, but I have never received an sms like this, and the last mail I got on something was correct. I don't know if I believe it.
