Maybe it's unfair, but I can't help but be a bit cynical.

Thanks mate! Unfortunately blocked by Thailand censorship or this hotel. Just have to settle for esating my fingers listening to the radio
-
Shane Tuck has had it only 4 times. Who's tagging him?
-
Getting goals easier but being beaten around the play
-
Listening on AW from Thailand, but it seems we are extremely lucky at quarter time to be ahead by 2 points. Half the inside fifties, more turnover than a casino. They hit the post, a lucky free kick against Reiwoldt and he missed a gimme. So if we improve, we will smash them. If we play this way for 4 quarters, we will get done.

Hehe - I'm also in Thailand. Yeh, justin.tv might be an option, but I think it is blocked here as BkkDemon says. Bkkdemons - if you come up with anything I would love to know. Am listening through AFL website on 3AW

There's a bit more in this.

I think it is an extraordinary emblem. The blue is a rich, dark blue, not an insipid light blue. The reason the emblem is busy is that we are the oldest professional sporting club in the world. The world! We have therefore got a rich heritage. To stake a proprietary claim on the football and the establishment and rules of the game themselves is a brilliant idea. I will bet with anyone that within 5 years a number of clubs will transition to a similar "EPL" style emblem.

And of course to all the Foundation Heroes, who have donated at an unprecedented level to assist and arguably save this great Club.

Obviously it is a good thing not to have players suspended. But I think all great sides have some blokes who are very aggressive and close to the line. Hawthorn, Geelong (Scarlett, Mooney, etc...), St Kilda all have suspensions, but may be better for their aggression. So yes, it's disciplined, but it might not be all positive.

Geez! If David Hale is the answer, then we need a new question.

On Watts' game against the Swans, I saw a lot to be excited about. The guy does heaps of unrewarded running. Heaps. Sometimes he is running to the right spots and guys don't move as quick as he does. Other times he has a bit to learn about where to run. But he has a really aerobic capacity. He is also super below his knees and likes sharing the ball. When he gets some meat on the bones and a bit of confidence, we will have a gem IMO. So I would play him every week, because every game is a game closer to the breakout game.

The fact that another Black and Brown won't come around very often doesn't mean that their mere existence will allow Brisbane to cash in. There simply isn't enough around them. Not to mention Brown and Black's bodies.

Jonathan Brown and Simon Black being injured is not unpredictable. The difference between Fev and Bradshaw is the issue, not how good Fev is. The difference might be 20 goals? So 1/game? And to upset the team dynamic that much? If Patfull and Drummond are in their best 10 players, then I rest my case, he is not within 10 years of a premiership. If Travis Johnstone is a backman, I'll eat my hat.
-
I think people are being very soft on Voss. Blind Freddy could see that they did not have the list to challenge for a premiership in the short term. Whilst it was a predicament that some of their champions are ageing and deemed non-tradeable, perhaps they should have made some hard calls instead of easy ones. Yes, he has been unlucky with injury, but Goose is injury prone, Buchanan and Raines are really only c graders and Staker is a B- grader playing as expected. The way the Rischitelli and Bradshaw situation was managed was terrible. If Brown had 5 years left and was saying to Voss "Mate, I can't be motivated to go on here without knowing we may be in our window", then perhaps trade him. Massive call, but imagine his trade value to Collingwood or Carltion last year. Trading Bradshaw and a young forward for a [censored] like Fev had trouble written all over it. And the way the club (including Voss) have gone after the ex-Fitzroy supporters over the paddle pop lion, they get what they deserve. So no sympathy from me.

I think this game, more than any other this season, will demonstrate where we are at. We all know that we have beaten a few sides when they're down and we have performed unexpectedly well on a number of occasions against fancied opposition. Yet, when we have played sides that are "slightly better" than us, we have often been well beaten. To me, the sides we show our greatest vulnerability against are the ones who won't let us play the way we want to play. We struggled against Adelaide's zone (we should have lost to them twice really), North Melbourne's narrow zone that stopped us playing through the middle, and Hawthorn's zones to space. WC is an exception where we were simply carp. Sydney likewise play a close checking stoppage based game that relies on not letting the opposition play the way it wants to play. It will be a real test of maturity to see if our players can think their way through it. I think we will be up for the physical contest at the stoppages, although a Sunday game in Perth may see us fade. But the numbers Sydney put behind the ball and the manner in which we respond will be the greatest indication of how well developed our game plan is, how well the players implement it and who is an on-field leader. The stakes are high for Sydney. I think we will fail again. Sydney by 27.

I'm surprised to read this. Cotchin's act was late, wilful and dangerous. It put young Wright out for some time (the whole game?). He deliberately charged into Wright's back and extended his arm. He deserved exactly what he got. Walker's one looked terrible, but there is no doubt he tried to pull out. He arguably should have lowered his body, so it might have been reckless, but it was certainly not deliberate. I am often critical of the MRP, but they got it right this time.

We've got a Leigh Brown. His name is Paul Johnson. I think we have up and coming ruckmen to support Jamar. We need a forward or one more gun midfielder much more.
-
Yeh, I don't know how many will come straight back in though. In fairness, Harvey did say those injuries were there for the Richmond game, not the Melb game. But what we do have is a good running game, so if they bring too many underdone players in, especially McPharlin, Grover and taller types, we might run over them at Subi.
-
Ye of little faith.... We have to be a some chance.
-
I happened to have a really interesting conversation with Mark Harvey the other day. I asked him if it was a bad loss to the Tigers or if the tigers are good. He made the point that they are missing 9 of their best 15 players. I was very surprised. I asked him to list them and he said Grover, Tarrant, Fyfe (who he reckons will be a champ), Headland, Mayne, Broughton, Barlow, McPharlin (and one other I don't remember). With Jurrah and Sylvia back (and maybe Junior) and a side that's full of running and has some depth, I think we have as good a chance as ever to knock over a big team. Dees by 9. GO DEES!
-
Agreed. I don't think my local cafe is thrilled that there is a big hole in their Feral Scum where I cut out the picture!
-
Haha. Goddard well held. Mate, watch the tape again, again.
-
I agree. I think we will win, and well. And I don't think that very often.

That can't kick from 20.
