Yeh, agree with all the great memories everyone has put here already. I saw Sean on 4 or 5 occasions over the past 2 years, and last had a beer with him about 6 months ago. He was an intelligent, funny and engaging man. He has lot of great footy stories to boot. I am very saddened by his passing and wish his family well.

If Sherman did do it for the entire match, then no wonder the AFL and dogs wanted this one dealt with quickly, because it raises a whole lot of new questions: 1. Where was the bulldogs leadership ? Why didn't they do more to stop this sooner? 2. What about the umpires? Did they not hear any of it? If they did hear some of it, then why didn't they act sooner?

When I read the papers waxing lyrical over Wattsy, I get extremely mad. I really want the journos to stab themselves in the eye that they apparently have on the game. These were the same journos that loved sticking it to him 2 years ago, to sell papers. Now, to sell papers, both Watts and Naitainui are going to deliver. Hamish Hartlett better get some protection for the knife that may get wedged in his back soon. Jack has had to cop some absolute crap from sniper Lloyd, Lethal Leigh and many others.... all based on the fact he dared have potential. Mind you, some MFC supporters have been no better. Then, he does what he was always going to do, and starts delivering based on experience, body, confidence, talent and chemistry of the side around him, and they're messing their pants all of a sudden. They can all get stuffed. Go Jack. Go demons.

Well hold on. In fairness to Ralph.... there isn't a journo who doesn't think that Scully's entourage has liaised with GWS' entourage. Therefore, on Ralph's reckoning, Scully has lied. It may be that the system made Scully lie, and it may be that the journos are all wrong and Scully's group has not even spoken to GWS' group, but I suggest that it's unlikely that they have not at least spoken (and in fact spoken at length). I think the whole insinuation that Scully is money hungry and has been from the start is actually the offensive bit, because Ralph has no idea what Scully's motives have been in his contract negotiations.

You're actually boring, because you clearly are playing to agenda every bloody time you post. How do you know the game plan should work in the future? For starters, it has to evolve. So today's game plan is utterly irrelevant to the future. There's a chance our game plan, to the extent we have one, will be seen as revolutionary. There's also a chance it's crap. Rodney Eade has shown a lack of ability to modernise his game plan, and he will pay with his job IMO. Maybe he's just smarter than the rest. Discuss.
