  1. I hate it when I'm right. I don't think the boys can't win it, I just think we're not good enough this year compared to the best. Defence isn't king in 2022
  2. SEN article for anyone interested https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/08/30/edmunds-trade-update-on-dogs-mid-young-magpie-suns-forward-and-more/
  3. Also Sam Edmond at SEN reporting Tom De koing might be gettable. Would be an ideal replacement for LJ
  4. I assume Oliver Henry would be worth a look? Promising key forward, pies struggling with cap space. Not sure where he was drafted but you'd assume if he choose to leave it wouldn't cost a premium
  5. Probably didn't want the drama and choose the easiest route Also Blues may have guaranteed him more midfield time.
  6. While true, surely the afl don't let that happen. Would make a mockery of the system
  7. Luckily for Yze the bombers are after an ex head coach.
  8. Kid was seriously good tonight. Stay dogga
  9. Someone actually watches it. I'm impressed
  10. Hahahaha oh Gil never change. #AFLintegrity
  11. I'm pretty sure Rutten was highly rated before the Essendon job. I wonder what his chances are ending up an assistant next year? I could see him at the Dee's replacing Yze
  12. Yes Cordy, so they cleared him... So the chook raffle came up with a free pass again.
  13. Watch the dogs player get 3 weeks at the tribunal now because the afl cares about player health .. These guys think we're all stupid. # the head is sacred
  14. Haha who'd have thought the afl and all of their policies were driven by money. # no integrity
  15. Great won by the boys. Was great to see them get reward for effort. I did want to bring this up and I'm not sure if it has already This photo for me highlights my biggest concern coming in to the business end of the season. Viney should have hit up nibbler on the lead. It's not just Viney, our mids inability to hit easy F50 targets reduces our ability to score and soak up opposition pressure. That kick should have been made. The game should have been sealed then
  16. Liking what we're doing down at Casey. Love hearing the progress on Howes, JVR and Disco. I think we got some players there. Really hope Weid can find some form, glad he had a ripper.
  17. Sounds like you're talking what you've been sniffling.
  18. I agree. My passion for the sport us getting less and less the older I get. At least the afl are consistent. One set of rules for stars, another set for everyone else.
  19. All great points, and as @von rightly pointed out this is a discussion to try and understand reasons why, so i accept those reasons. And i agree that we played well on the weekend and have been playing at a high standard for a few weeks now, our best is still hard to beat. The standard of footy has been very high, it is great finals preparation. Teams have lifted to play us. But that is why i have gone early on my calls. The trends indicate we are world beaters when the game is played on our terms but we have been unable to do it consistently in big games all year. What really concerns me though is how easily teams are scoring against us and our inability to score when the game isn't on our terms. The ability for the Pies to score on the weekend was a huge worry. On the couch also just put up a stat - (i know how we love stats), but we are 18th from scoring from turnovers this year and were 5th last year. There are a couple key indicators trending the wrong way this year. I just don't see our best as being good enough this year. Does you're rational explain it? I don't know, but what i do know is there are some big areas to fix and it is very late in the year to fix it.
  20. Haha good question, i did not think my name through when i changed it and didn't realise it was locked for 365 days. So unless @Demonland gives me some sort of pass i am stuck with it unfortunately. Me and my stupid sense of humor.
  21. Fair points. Taken on board. I guess I was still upset from Friday and this was my way of dealing with it.
  22. You might be right. I don't pretend to know. One way or another in roughly 2 months one of us will be right. Like I said earlier in this thread one of us will be right and probably for the wrong reasons.
  23. No doubt, you want to take the glass half full approach and you're correct. We could have won, but we didn't. We have been in games but their influence on games has. What has been consistent is that In big games this season we have been shut out when it matters. Do I think we can't win... No I don't, I guess I'm preparing myself for what I see as the inevitable.
