  1. Has been dominating in the last few weeks for the Saints.....

From memory, he had 11 touches in the first quarter last week (in stellar form)

Thinking there may be a mit more to this story....?.....?.....

  2. MELBOURNE

Backs Ben Holland Nathan Carroll Ryan Ferguson

Half backs Daniel Bell Brad Miller James Frawley

Centreline Brad Green James McDonald Paul Wheatley

Half forwards Nathan Brown Russell Robertson Simon Godfrey

Forwards Bryon Pickett David Neitz Matthew Bate

Followers Jeff White Brock McLean Nathan Jones

Interchange Aaron Davey Brent Moloney Michael Newton Daniel Ward

Emergencies Jace Bode Simon Buckley Mark Jamar

    Hmmmm...... Interesting alright.......

    :o

  3. Not a hope in hell that Port will offload Robbie Gray.....

If anything, I would be more interested in throwing another player into the deal with Bell and trying to lure someone like Danyle Pearce!!!

Not in the good books down at Port at the moment.... Been told to pull his finger out of his ar$e.... Maybe Bailey could do something with him, seeing as since DB left Port they have got nothing out of him....

But, I'm sure DB has his views on who he would be after....

(Not saying we should trade Bell, just using him as an example)

  4. The knee reco is a bit of a worry and I wouldn't want to give a top 30 pick, and Essendon won't want to trade him, so I don't see much happening there.

I'm sure David Rhodan is a fine example of giving a bloke an opportunity after dodgy knees!

  5. He looks built for umpiring. lol

Haven't seen anyone as slight as he play for Melbourne since Cam Hunter played a couple of games late in 2003. I think he weighed 68kg when we drafted him.

Not even Cam Bruce was as skinny as Cale when he started out, and he was skinny!

I remember a guy by the name of Robbie Flower who was also quite skinny!

Maybe he should've been an umpire as well?!?!?!

Oh no, that's right..... He ended up being one of the greatest players to ever pull on a Melbourne guernsey....

At least Cale has one thing going for him over Robbie.... He doesn't need glasses yet! :)

  6. Abdominals?!?!?!

HaHa!!!! Was clearly discussed on Adelaide radio on Monday that he is struggling with groin soreness.... Unfortunately, I think we may have seen the best of Jared at Melbourne....

I think the River's run dry!

Trade bait..... Don't care what people say, but Rhino is correct! If you can't play more than 10 games a year then you are not a required player (injuries or no inuries)

  7. "Juice" Newton played in the Sandy MAGOOS

He started slowly before hitting his straps and Starred with 4 goals 4 Bhds

    A return seems a formality!

Will take a lot more than a statement about a VFL rezzies match to get me excited about Juice again!!

I personally think the kid has mental issues, but time will tell....

  8. think you guys are looking into to it way too much

    Totally agree!

I would say at the moment it is 50/50 that the our club may not be in Melbourne by 2015

That is why it is up to everyone involved to rally around the club and prove to all the knockers that we will be Melbourne forever!!

This information has been blatently obvious for years and it is only now in our darkest hour that people are finally taking notice!

  9. what an interesting analogy. Dont go as far as I did and envisage Jimmy giving birth and breastfeeding quintuplets, one with the head of Steve O'Dwyer.

    OMG!

Now that is an image I would rather have not had in my mind!

    You sick, sick human

  10. At the moment Jim Stynes is like a pregnant woman.....

Unlike most pregnancies, Jim is having a football club (not a baby)....

The football club is still very early in the development process.... At the end of this season we will be through our first trimester.... The embryo will slowly start to take the form of a fetus....

This early in the developement the heartbeat is really faint but is beating around 140bpm!!

It's a great sign, things are going well..... But we need to get through this crucial stage before we get too excited....

PS... Jim has chosen to announce to the world that he is pregnant with a new football club.... Let our gifts for the baby be shitloads of memberships!

    :D

  11. That is one of the most heartening articles I have read about the Melbourne Football Club in a long time!

I am damn sure we are in for some exciting times over the next 12-24 months....

Good luck to all involved and may you bring our mighty club back from the depths to once again be a force to be reckoned with!

    :D :D :D

  12. Good theory, but will never happen!

No games such as the following :

    Collingwood v Carlton

    Collingwood v Melbourne

    Collingwood v Richmond

    Essendon v Carlton

    Essendon v Melbourne

    Essendon v Richmond

    Essendon v Hawthorn

Andrew D and his boys would rather sit in a circle and play soggy sao than let this happen!!

    Good idea though :P

  13. July 5th.....

    Casey Fields.....

    WA v TASSIE

    National U18's comp....

Nick Nat will be playing at his future training venue....

I expect the MFC will be at least buying the kid a Schnitzel with gravy, and having a chat!?!?!?!

Watched him on Sunday in the curtain raiser for the Port/Carlton match.... The SA boys targetted him something fierce in the first quarter!

But to Nick's credit, he withstood all the hard bodies and played a really good match....

Get down to Casey and watch Naita, Hurley and the other lad Yarran....

    Well worth the trip!

  14. I think on the one hand he makes a point that the MFC is too volatile, in that it will fire up for the QB clash and not provide the same passion the week after or from week to week. And that is perhaps the biggest indictment on our club. On the other hand, he should mind his own bloody business and let the MFC speak for the MFC. He is almost suggesting that he is bitter because we didn't play like a 16th placed team - and in that sense, he can get stuffed. Would he be happier if we didn't fire up on the weekend we celebrate our history?

This is exactly what I was about to write!

  15. Living in Adelaide....

Listening to MMM broadcast and live updates on AFL Gameday....

If this is a sign of things to come from the Melbourne Football Club, then bring it on!!!!

Melbourne have taken it right up to the in form side of the competition!

Up by 9 points at half time....

    Some positives

    * Hard, contested football

    * Tackling is great

    * Putting plenty of pressure on the opposition

    * Backline working really well together (Garland, Warnock, Frawley, Bell all doing a great job)

    * Brock McLean has 20 touches to half time, 7 contested and 14 effective kicks

    * Bate is having a ripper and looks really good

    * Jamar is using his body well in the contests

    * Miller is presenting well up the ground and taking strong contested grabs

Still a long way to go in the game and also in the rebuilding of our club, but the signs are great on todays effort!

  16. White has a bit of a sore back.... Pulled up sore this morning, was put thru a fitness test and they have decided to err on the side of caution!

Looks like Jordan Lewis may be out for the Hacks..... Morton to come in....

  17. Jeff, you were a [censored] back awhile and you are still a [censored] today!

The funny thing out of all this though.... Melbourne will beat Hawthorn this weekend! HaHa! We were already fired up for our retiring skipper and you go and tell the oldest football club in the world to relocate?!?!?!

    You are a mad [censored]!

    Dees by 12 points!
