why is everyone so ingnorant and stubborn to suggest cameron bruce as captain he would be the fav easily
I actually believe Brad Green would be the favourite at this stage..... Has had a ripper season and is celebrating our wins with pure joy (which is great due to the fact some ppl are hoping we don't win too many)
But Brad Miller is an option! His leadership has green beat.... I mean been great..... (oops ) and his overall physicality are saying to me that it is not out of the question..... Plus he has the tick from DB already (DB loves him)
Just thought I would throw it out there..... That and the fact that it was one of the wierdest dreams of my life!

I forgot Morton, Bell and Petterd. All could become top 50 players. I deliberately overlooked Newton , Robbo and Junior .(hope I'm wrong).
Gawwwwwnnnn!!!!

I woke up at early hours of this morning from the strangest dream.....
After a strong finish to 2008 (albeit only 4 wins) and a strong pre-season (no visions of draft picks ).... Dean Bailey called a press conference!
In the press conference (which was strangely hosted by Andrew O'Keefe from Deal or No Deal) our coach was sitting with Brad Miller.....
Dean proceeded to tell the football world that Brad would be the new captain of the Melbourne Football Club....
I know this was only a dream, but apart from Mr O'Keefe, this seemed so real.....
-
I believe that DB knows exactly where he would like us to be at the end of the season.....
That is the main thing as far as I am concerned....

Wrote this in the PJ thread after Sunday's game....
I will be honest and say that on today's performance, I think Jeff White may struggle to come back into the side straight away!It is great to have pressure to hold your position.... That is what makes a strong football club!
I am pretty sure that DemonLand is hot property at the moment..... We should list on the ASX
-
Watts is the go, reckon we will come 15th, OX said on SEN that he's heard we are definitely No 1 choice for Robbie Warnock.
Ox also told me once when he was [censored] at Crown, that Travis Johnstone would win a brownlow at Melbourne......

ah yes forgot about the week off. no doubt the boys will be having a few very quiet beers tonight!
Let's hope we don't read about it in the papers tomorrow

To anyone who wishes to purely celebrate our thrilling win, I have started a new thread.....
This one has pi$$ed me off to much!

I thought one of the more positive things to come out of today's win (damn that feels good to say win) was CJ's game!
He may have finally turned the corner..... I remember from speaking to his old man a few seasons back, that he is very much a confidence player and he was worried he wouldn't be good enough to play AFL..... Hopefully he has turned the corner....

That mark Miller took in the square sent a shiver up my spine! A big forward taking a big mark to win the game! What a weapon!
I thought he played a really important role today..... His leadership qualities are starting to shine through....

I am starting a new thread to discuss the joy of winning a thriller against a Top 8 side.....
Bloody hell I am proud of the boys out there today!

No way. We wont be saved. Im willing to see a 1 win season for Natanui. Anyway thats it for me. Couldnt care less what others think.
If this wasn't a forum that children use, I would be using some seriously rude words right about now! "We won't be saved"????? But you are expecting Natanui to do it for us???? I seriously hope you have not bred others with the same attitude!!!
And by the way..... Try changing your favourite players list..... Johnstone doesn't play for us anymore!
Tool of the Week award by a mile!!

I doubt ill be the only one but im guttered about todays win. Call me a bad supporter but there is little need of winning. We need more kids as this team will take 5+ years to be good grand final contenders. With the GC and Sydney teams coming in were screwed if we finish second last. Im really really guttered
I don't care who you are..... You are a moron!!!! 1,000+ posts or not..... You are the sort of person that I would pint glass over the head in a bar!!!!
You play football to win! My god! It is our 2nd win of the season! At least let us passionate supporters enjoy it before you start talking about how we should've tanked it!! Have a look at the joy on the player's faces after the game!
You are the true meaning of the word MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope to see you soon in the mighty Red 'n Blue Jack!!!
I love seeing young fellas who grew up supporting the club they got drafted to..... Hope you kick a$$

Just got home from footy training..... Can someone let me know what he said on the footy show??
What was his attitude like, how was his appearance, and did he look like he was off his guts???
-
Congratulations to young Stef.....
You are about to pull on the most famous guernsey in world football..... Wear it with pride and make it your own!!!
-
Just saw him on the Footy Show....
Didn't know $hit about the Melbourne Football Club.... But I suppose any publicity is good publicity

I'm also yearning for Juice!!
I've got a feeling you will be yearning for that Juice for awhile yet!!!
And also would not be surprised if the Juice changes flavours between now and the next time you have a taste (eg. changes clubs)
Massive trade bait IMHO

I have had pretty big wraps on this kid for years now and it seems as though the club is finally starting to realise the potential this giant of a man has!!
Will be interesting to see how he goes over the next few weeks.....

LOL - excellent reply KrazyJay.
I just hope the information you posted is the result of a Google search and not local knowledge! LOL
I should've been a chemist myself

1) Send Colin Sylvia to Adelaide for Kurt Tippett
Colin is rumoured to want 2 go to Adelaide, Tippett would be exactly what we need.
Not a hope in hell that Adelaide will part with Tippett..... The thought is nice but if hell freezes over and Tippett does happen to get off-loaded by the Crows, it will be in a deal with the Gold Coast side when they enter the competition (he will go home to GC or stay in Adelaide)
2) Trade Daniel Bell to Port Adelaide for Paul Stewart or or Adam CockshellStewart YES..... Cocksmell NO!! (marijuana is bad mmmmmKay!)
3) Ricky Petterd to Brisbane in exchange for Justin ShermanThis I think is a bit premature on behalf of Petterd...... Give the kid a chance to show us what he's got before you go delisting him!
4) Nathan Carroll and mid-round draft pick to Fremantle for Robert WarnockThis is actually a ripper! But take out the mid-round draft pick..... Fremantle are so stupid come trade week that they will actually think they are getting a great deal!!!!!

West Coast had 14of it's premiership players in the side and still got flogged.
The 'nutrition' that their Coach, Worsfold the Chemist, is giving them can't be working as well as it did for the premiership year.
The ingredients of the 'nutritional supplements' from Dr. Worsfold are a lot different this year than they have been in the past....
A few examples of some changes to the recipe
Premiership year : Speed, Ice, Crystal, Crank, Glass, Uppers
(“Crystal” is a powder form of methamphetamine that is injected, inhaled or ingested. “Ice” and “glass” are smokable forms of methamphetamine and “crank” comes in tablets or capsules.)
Immediate Effects: In small doses, uppers increase mental alertness and physical energy.
*Also we cannot forget the doses of coke included in the "Premiership Cocktail" where the effects appear soon after a single dose and may include euphoria and increased alertness
This year : Mixture of barbiturates including Amytal, Nembutal, Seconal and Tuinal. Also a healthy dose of Benzodiazepines such as Valium and Librium and newly available Xanax and Ativan.
Immediate Effects: Short-term effects appear rapidly after a single dose and disappear usually within a few hours or even days. A small amount will characteristically produce calm and relaxation, inducing slowed breathing and reflexes. A larger dose may produce effects similar to that of drunkenness, including slurred speech, staggering, slowed reactions, loss of inhibition, and intense emotions often expressed in an extreme and unpredictable manner.
The above information is not entirely accurate!
But just because it didn't happen, doesn't mean it's not true!

This just goes to show how good our win was on Sunday!
Great effort by the boys with so much leadership out of the side
