Nice trip down memory lane Farmer. However It’s now 2019 some 63 years later, the skill levels are far superior & we as a club kick for goal like the little league. It’s completely unacceptable & has put us under enormous pressure. We should of beaten West Coast & Adelaide however due to basic kicking errors we didn’t. Weideman didn’t kick that simple goal from 20 metres out directly in front & we as long suffering supporters & The MFC are now in an even bigger world of pain. Strangely I have seen enough this season in a couple of games to suggest we can & will make a big Statement in the second half of 2019. To think Geelong sits on top at the halfway mark makes me want to vomit.

The injuries were always going to come. GWS can physically do anything they want & we don’t respond. Toby Green knee’s with intent to hurt on MacDonald, then our skipper cops a full on poor disguised punch in the face & just nothing. softest team in the Comp by a fair margin.
Not switched on from the first bounce & yet again No name kids wearing weird Orange jumpers are pushing us around and bullying us like babies. Nothing short of a line in the sand response in the 3rd quarter will do. Screw the fallout & consequences our existence is depending on this response.
100% Agree with this take RN. That should of been a non negotiable moment with 17 blokes letting Vardy know we are not coping that [censored] as a club. I don’t get this suspension at all. When I played footy that was simply called a bump & appluded by your team mates & coach. These 2019 rules are just insane.

Bit of a joke of a suspension. How can they be deemed as punches? Ebert ran out of his way to elbow Viney in the back to start it anyway. MRP are fools. What about the 3 facial contacts with Demon players. They were clumsy & all very deliberate. [censored] Port look forward to the return match.
Like Wise also getting excited about 2012 I have no doubt the heat will break a few on the list over Pre-Season, for those that thrive it will be a great ride. Going to be a very interesting 12 months.

The great Kelvin Templeton sadly was spent by the time we got him but I can remember a rare victory @ kardinia park about 1984 when he bagged 8 goals in the Red & Blue
Darren Kowal - Massive Massive dissapointment for the Melbourne Footy Club Back to Henry Coles - rumour has it he wasn't paying attention to the coach at half time in a seconds game in the late 70's. Big Carl was coaching the 1st & down in the rooms & had a go @ him. The two went behind closed doors for a chat & all everybody could hear was fists flying & connecting & Carl screaming you can have an open clearance to anywhere you like. He was never seen at the Melbourne Football Club again. I think I read this tale in Robbie Flowers Autobiography. Robbie said he had never been more terrified in his life. Instant repect for Carl but apparently little fiery Henry Coles landed the most punches. Carlwalked out brushed his suiut down & it was business as usual.
