My thinkings are simply this. Jackson has the ability to source from without to comprise this panel if he thought more sage. He hasnt and so he must at least have a fair belief in the capacities of Mahoney and Viney. I see it as irrelevant as to what their current roles are in terms of being on this panel. It strikes me that PJ values their opinion. Simply that. Viney is no nonsense. Jackson is nonsense.. They understand each other I think. If Roos is coach I dont think Craig will stick around... a negotiated payout seems likely to me. Again , I find the whole area of FD and Board as of great interest . Many just look at players, even just the head coach ,but at this level either the WHOLE machine is oiled and tuned or it will falter.

I must confess this has always been my impression of him. Even this years better efforts still seem nonchalant often with easy gets selfish play making up a lot of stats. He doesnt impose on games in a manner I would have thought his ability might warrant. Still many are happy to simply reconfigure their expectations and thus be happy. God this guy gets off easy.

I take note of the coaching selection panel. Todd Viney and Josh Mahoney, board member Greg Healy are on it. To me this suggests Jackson has more than a spoonful of faith in theses three as being part of anything Melbourne going forward From this I would think Healy will remain a member of a newly shaped board and Messrs Mahoney and Viney to play an important part of a reformed FD. or I could be seeing things...happened before lol

Theres defintely validity in this. It might be interesting to see how he reacts to a new coach ( elite coach ) after a full preseason. Im more curious than anything, certainly not expecting too much. ( Ive learnt )

nupp...bugger this Stuff this notion that Sylvia NEEDS others to make him shine.. Im over this. He is a very capable player if and when he can pull his digit out. He himself even alludes to such. HE KNOWS BLOODY WELL He ought to be one of those players whoare helping others to realise their abilities not the other way around. Hes a bloody 10 year player and weve seen very littel over the journey for all the faith , let alone millions. Yes folks..add it all up and hes had millions off of this club. Value ?? No where near it Yes I know they all get paid but hes been paid hansomely. If he wants to stay...whoop'd de do. By all means Col, but this is your last hurrah, time to pay the ferryman son

Theres actually something to this. Many here may not know of just what a rollercoasting basketcase StKilda really is. As bad as weve become its still the Sainters you look to for a measuring stick regards the bizzarre and predication to implode. That said Ive no qualm should Roos come on board. He'll be given every conceivable resource that can be garnered ( and paid for by Vlad lol )

Hopefully this is the last time I have to have the EOS to really look forward to. Whilst the effort and resolve is far better currently we arent setting the world on fire. Is going to be very interesting. So much NEW at so many levels

Amazing really how much this club has changed ( even if forced ) in such a short period of time
-
From all the bruhaha that surrounded the club not too long ago its gone absolutely dead quiet. Not a squeak. Kind of amazing really. Have they finally sorted the loose-lips syndrome ? Something must be brewing....surely
-
I have no doubt a lot of it is just playful banter giving Roos a bit of a gee up etc. At the same time though we have no idea what anyone is privy to and how close to the edge this play goes. As the saying goes," Many a true word is spoken in jest"

Countless words have been written about the new coach. We dont have one yet but millions of pixels have been arranged to discuss it. Im just as interested in that other party in town; the new MFC Board together with our dalliances with respect to rejigging the FD. We havent heard a lot. Maybe theres not much to hear but as I understand it it's a bit cart and horse. We should have some idea of the new board and the football dept before the coach is announced. Indeed I should imagine any candidate for coach will be decidely interested to see the make up of these areas of the club. So who knows what ?

This reminds me a bit of Christmas. We know its coming, we'll get a pressie or two but it wont be tomorrow. It has its own timeline and so does the coaching appointment , well the announcement anyways. You just have to wait folks.
