  1. was my thought as well.. dont forget Chapel and Collin's streets either. Apparently really big into the holistic side of things. Maybe membership to a really nice day spa as well.
  2. that'd be novel
  3. Your point about 2 years is moot for that very reason RPFC. So why pivot on it. Davey is like a handful currently...teetering on the edge of purposeful requirement. In order to bring others in , and on you need space. Where does space come from but for removing the deadwood and/or underperformers. You cant have you one -yearers and eat the cake too. There has to be players moved on Some might say you keep a bird in the hand for that 2 year in the bush so to speak but if you really arent going to play them and if they arent requisite to a finals tilt then thatr nasty old sign lights up....you know "GAME OVER "
  4. the sticking point is Mrs Roos
  5. No man can have two masters at the same time !!! lol...better ? In your case it was an upgrade to Master ver 2.0
  6. Led by a lion.......Noice
  7. Hardtack ..the sticking point sts wears a skirt lol
  8. Youd only need a shrink and hr person if seeking a newbie. We are not ( what a lovely change ) Senior coaches' record speaks for self .
  9. Hardtack..... No man can have TWO masters !
  10. Much of what we spectate currently I sense is more abouth the appearance of things more than the substance. smoke and miROrs Of Sorts
  11. I tend to think this too.Other vacancies are just that. We however are THE challenge par none. Might frighten some, and we wouldn't want them. Might intrigue and appeal to another; this is our man.
  12. I acknowledge that but as the rebuilding of the board is a dynamic and ongoing thing I dont ( for mine ) see why that would wait for an announcement. I think Monday is more about the $ Value and a heads up on where its likley to sway re draft help. If Chook is right ( and have no reason to suspect he may not be ) then its a very different type of board coming our way. Very business at hand style. A handful of 'outsiders" cant hurt. In a way then wed be just widgets, that is to say the 'blinding' passion and bias would be absent. Not altogether a bad thing in business
  13. it is warmer there
  14. But the thing I simply dont get is how ANYONE gets to the point of being in the draft, being considered for AFL ( the highest level of the game ) and cant f'n kick a ball. How does this occur An analogy being a stool, surely kicking is one of the legs, without which it falls over.
  15. tsk tsk You make assumptions then call it fact. How do you equate Davey for a pick 85 .... its only supposition on your part and may well fall differently. Even so.. Whos to say that after 2 years that same said pick 85 hasnt blossomed ? Those two years of development were required and only a possibility because Davey had gone . hows your digestion ?
  16. I do understand that many are unlikely to remain in current positions for the simple reason many of those jobs will be redrawn. You could well be right rjay that Jackson is operating in the manner you describe. I think Mahoneys abilities are looked upon favourable by Jackson but where they can be best utilsed in a FD we'll only know when we see the nature of the new beast. Id be curious as the the model being envisaged. I think Jackson likes efficiency both in design and implementation. ( dont we all ) so am leaning towards a far more streamlined FD ( possibly less personnel ) but with roles expanded somewhat and higher caliber people doing them. Payroll doesnt change a lot but synergies and outcomes would change dramatically. Decision making becomes more effecient and time spent in 'meetings' decreases. Less talk, more action
  17. yep, just leave the beans in the meat aisle...no probs
  18. Theres a difference between having sufficient and by that players in reserve and having a glut. The day they can all get on the park this may be an issue. Its a delicate balancing act for sure but I dont know we are quite at the point of being able to finesse things too much. Doesnt detract from the urgency of uprating the midfield but id call for caution in wholesale bastardisation of other areas of the list.
  19. and theres a TRADE forum for that also...just saying
  20. up to fairly recently the Adelaide Now and Perth Now sites have been a handy workaround. Theyve overhauled them into line withteh HeraldSun ( bless that papers little heart and money lol ) I imagine the root News site will also go this way eventually...but now...
  21. Yet something so simple has NOT been overly observed to date. Beggars belief really
  22. good for them...youre quite invited to talk health issues in the GENERAL area. I foolishly thought this forum was the preserve of thing footy..and most importantly MELBOURNE. Burn me as an insensitive , I couldnt care less.
  23. Im still trying to understand why we really care or are bothered about a Collingwood player
  24. I did touch on this earlier suggesting no panel was really necessary for Roos. I still think thats the case though Jackson is leaving nothing to chance here I suspect.. Possibly having the panel is to indicate we arent being too myopic and are at least capable of looking beyond Roos. It might just be window dressing also
