  1. No reason at all. Not likely either imho. The keen ones already on board. Some watch and wait. Each consecutive loss turns a light out. Dont think we lost 3 in a row last year. Might put a few off. Thats just life.
  2. Beat Ess we'll get 40000 Lose...dead in tracks.
  3. To say nothing of the various niggles some must be carrying.
  4. Not the kicker. It's what there is to kick to.
  5. Daisy...already more informative and knowledgeable than Taylor !!
  6. Coaches are human. To think they dont have persuasions to both style and players is unrealistic. Though probably not blatant, leanings will exist.
  7. Now heres an essence of much exasperation. The seeming " rule of the week". It's now unlikely to get a consistent application of rules as the powers that be seem bent on sending some sort of message each and every week emphsising the "peeve of the moment" The rules used to be simple enough that primary schoolers could adjudicate. Now a scholar struggles.
  8. You're not alone in wondering this. Some very blatant frees went begging. I have great difficulty seeing the umps side nowadays. They seem directed to impact and course the game instead of just refereeing.
  9. Agree Goody has without doubt some favourites . So be it... Just get it right Simon.
  10. Fwiw i thought he had a pretty good game. Helped muchly by Hibberds presence ( as i anticipated ) Couple of stuff ups..but few. Seems to have 'clicked'
  11. Restructuring ..foolish ?? They were allowed to get very settled into to restricting our game. Played right into their hands Pederson should have been selected. Its not hard to fathom,
  12. At the risk of being that "loon" I can only think the loonier thing is to persist in a folly that results in failing. Without doubt there were mitigating circumstances about our loss to the Tiges. I for one still believe that game was winnable . Despite my thinking that the FD did us no favours at selection the players out there, even those left with any capacity to play stil lmight have pulled it off had the Box seen fir to adjust more to what was out there instead of persisting with a tilt at a windmill. Arguably our best ball user ( Watts ) was locked into a role where essentially he never got to use it. Whilst he probably had to shoulder much of the rucking...all of it ?? We let Richmond dictate the game. They had shut down Hogan very effectively to the point of sooking. Why wasnt he brought in to chop out Watts and give Jack a spell at half forward ? This would have required the Tiges to restructure. What did we do ...NOTHING. The first role of any forward is to score. Take a bow JKH...doughnuts !! He , for mine , added nothing to or selection. . I chalk that up as another game we effectively lost as opposed the opposition win. Some of our decision making is just attrocious. If that doesnt iron out with more games we will never climb as we want.
  13. For those that Don't get it the Toiges aon %90 of contested hit outs post Spencil going down. Expected ? I'd have thought so. No slight Jack. Did we adjust ...fukk no. We kept going.....and lost the clearances. Well done FD
  14. You might be right. Setting up early season well; unlike....
  15. Hatd fact to swallow Maybe Richmond ARE better than us !!
  16. Out of curiosity who holds the cards re selection ? Goody or other Whomever .. You're [censored] up !!
  17. The FD picked the wrong team Goody failed to adjust Most players held heads high That was winnable. We didn't We f'd up
