Interesting topic sponsorship. Its not always about the team being 'winners' Sponsorship can often be more about Brand awareness. If only about riding a winner then a lot of shows and mags would be bereft of any (ads) Im sure there is any number of potential sponsors. I also suggest that the club is waiting to clinch a 'best offer' Bit like keeping your powder dry. It's about timing. Nothing to worry about here imho

Hibberd if fit is light years ahead of jnr burger. Its now abour winning. That means playing your best 22 week in week out. Kids can be developed but not at ths expense ( anymore) of results.

Because mkr is 7's #1 show Footy isnt. Mkr is about the casual nuff nuff viewer . Footy is a specific category these days. 7 was once ALL about footy in season. Its now just another bow in its quiver. The absolute die hards will have hd on foxtel etc. Average Joe doesn't care. Be happy enough to watch it on ' normal' Tge average joe has been happy with SD for 50years. I can understand a few will be miffed. Many won't give a [censored].

The average Joe now realises there are more than the old 4 channels. Those that watch MKR will Those that watch footy will.

Whilst some might care. I wouldn't. Doubt the vast majority of average punters would. Better than not ?
