I think the solution is already at hand. You get the wobbles and fluff , youre game getting shakey then ifs a gig in the magoos to sort it out and get your mojo back.

I have no problem whatsoever if a player gets a spray. Invariaby theyve earnt it. They can shove rockets up their bums and strap jets to their arms...make them wlk on coals for all i really care. Think though.. what transpired. .. Was Morton being picked on.. ? No.. He was tasked with a job, that was/is to folow instructions, the coach's instructions. You dont dothis, you will cop it. He obviously failed to do this and it would seem its somethingthat had been previously highlighted to him (as a shortcoming, error etc ) and he hadnt heeded the good advice of his boss. erto...a right royal bollocking was in order........and delivered........and we move on. Not all players will survive this remodellign of the club. that just IS. I sense Cale will be one ( that doesnt ) And you know what I couldnt really care a toss as all players are just a part of a bigger picture...the TEAM...our team and if it isnt working properly I want the club to exercise every ability in rectifying in. I just want an able and competitive team , ultimatelly successfyul but dont care whos wearing the jumpers in order to achieve this. Why actually does it matter. it seems the club has invested much time, patience and resources ( let alone money ) into Cale and its just not gelling. I have no personalanimisityat all towards Cale. He has skills, he has talent, he just doensnt seem to be at teh level and ability required to fulfil the requirements of a team member of a SUCCESSFUL Melbourne. Lets put it succinctly. He f#%&ed up big time. Had obviously disobeyed a previous directive and was justly lambasted for it. Its not just Cale who but the whole team that suffers for such acts and he needs to have that rammed down his throat . Same for any other player. If he cant follw instructions find those that can.

jaded , you know what this says to me. Thsi guy cant play footballat the elite level. He needs someone to tie his showe laces and tell him when to fart. Good players KNOW what to do. and when to do it. They will, in the main , attempt to work within the instruction of the coac9s) but they also realise the game is so fluid , so unique , that its actually impossible to instruct a player how to do everything because so much is reactive to the situation at hand. This is why youget soe guys that shine at traiining and match practice because its all a forgone conclusion as to how its supposed to pan out. Thats the nature of a drill. its known. Come matchday unfortuantely the opposition isnt so kind as toplay our game , they are buggers and want to play theirs, whod da thiunk !! Morton has NO real game smarts. he has some silky skills and ability but thats not the context of our game.he conssitently gets caught out, or siimply caught. Sometimes hes made to look better than he possibly is because ANOTHER of our players had read the situation and comes to his rescue.. Most of his turnovers occur at moments when he is simply lost for a decision, actually not true, hes lost for a progressive play. he makes decisions, many bad. Lets , please , stop confusing skills with the ability to play football ( well, and at the elite level).

Im somewhat surprised youd even think he hasnt spoken to the players as this was his stated intention as soon as they returned after their break. Whats being reported has transpired since these briefs ( player's) There will be rude awakenings ( npi ) for more than a handful of players, even some of the more gifted and dedicatd ones. The bar is simply a lot higher now.. Its up to the players to respond.
