Its been a funny year. A Keating year... lol Very cathartic !! Not much on the scoreboard as they say , but its been all about what s happening in the rooms this year. I wasnt concerned before the season started about wins. it wasnt about wins. I know some think in a terribly simplistic way. If we arent winning were losing. A certain reality to that but irrelevent to what this season was about. Never was about wins. It was about finding out about the players. This has been done. Now the next phase. This is actually exciting. Something REAL Something progressive. ahhh Progress theres something different

Old...I think weve enetered that twilight zone that is the EOS. Especially the finals' weeks where theres only so much that can occur as much often included players of the competing teams. We have what amounts to a leap-liek year occurence whereby no Senior coach is on the block, things remain rather calm and the ususal suspects make a ruckus in the cheap seats. Its a bit like the 7 stages of grieving. Season ends, there's murmurs, theres rumours and a truck load of speculation. All the "in the knows" come out of the woodwork. Why are they never around much 'during' the season? lol . Some who seldon post suddenly come to life and the rest of us go fishing for the gems. The net is often empty. Theres a few events of late Im already over. That actually surprises myslef somewhat but theres just no point worrying about so many things is there

Churning our list at the moment is like sellign a house. If you HAVE to you will take a hit. Sometimes you have to, theres no waiting. hell thats been me for the last...oh dont know... a long long time lolActually it all Ive really been looking forward too this year. I knew the season proper would be painful. ..But theyre grwoing pains as such. Things are getting better its just theres little outward manifestation of this. That I hope will show in season 2013. This season been embryonic. I wont particulalry cruel any of the previous treade/draftings of the last say half dozen years but i seriously question whether the club had a good plan to work to. If you design a strategy ( thats rubbish ) an follow it then you are at least true to its cause if flawed in its makeup. This is what I sense happened. They though X and sought X. We now realise that X was at least 75% wrong and we actually need Y. Y? because we do Given 5 mins to work with ( figurately ) Neeld and Co showed more insight and relevance to our needs , let alone ability to achieve, than the FD had for quite some while. Given theyve had a good yea rto plan ths next phase of taent attack and armed with what by all accounts is a fair dinkum wallet I fervently hope there will be some clever and impacting enlistments come this EOS silly circus. Its like we were just mucking around before, and now we're serious.

Have a couple of Bananas browning in the fruit bowl. Why do I keep buying them only to have a coule always left, just because they arent as pretty as the other bananas. Ppl can be so judgemental Ill give them a decent send off in te form of a cake me thinks.
