  1. It is and then again...in the package where he seems erroneous in disposal we often dont get to see what he was trying yo do as the 'next scene' as it were is continually cut. All we get to watch is a lot of see ball, get ball, kick ball In the other highlights package there a lot more context to whats happening.
  2. That would be because........... he is !! Walks like , sounds like,,,looks like etc
  3. ahh really...stop your blustering...you're just trying to sidle up to red to pinch his fritters at Wongs....I'm on to you !!
  4. I was actually sorta being real in my thinking that theres every chance we'll get someone who'll surprise a bit from these two picks. As you suggest there is so much hype about the pointy end that the middle ground is all but cast aside by the 'groupthink" . it wont be though by the recruiters who'll see it as an opportunity to grab someone who 'they' think has shown a little bit of 'something' to suggest they might make more than a handy player In many respects i feel THIS is where they ( recruitment ) really earn their money
  5. No...just really like Thunderbirds OD !!!
  6. of course !!! hehehe
  7. A little music to settle us into the mood as we await the draft http://www.televisiontunes.com/Thunderbirds_%28Complete_theme_-_no_starting_countdown%29.html
  8. makes our picks 40 and 53 very exciting doesnt it !!
  9. sorry...my bad...I saw the correlation
  10. So you put 'leadership" at the head of the list of criteria upon which you select players ? Id put it at about 99% irrelevant How many kings or queens on a Chess Board ? I each...everyone else is a role player. Thats a footy team...a bunch of role players. Leaders will naturally rise to the surface ( or occasion ) Why youd even bother considering that at drafting when you have no real idea whether a lot of these kids can even step up is beyond me. again thanks
  11. Leadership is a lot of crap as a criteria as to whether a player is a player....this is the great fallacy. Youre trying to draft players.. Leaders will show themselves in due course. Thankyou for highlighting this absolute area of rubbish
  12. I have no doubt they do. wonder what the beep test results are for accountancy grads ????
  13. easy ?? try Eh Sea Dee See !! aye sounds like...eye !!
  14. A lot of the psychometric testing is just way overboard for the role the kids are being looked at for. Its footy. Paint it any way one likes and its essentially about general fitness , athleticism and most importantly the ability to PLAY the game. Judging by what many go through you'd think we were evaluating prospects for combat fighter school !! As SS suggests they are over-thinking a lot of this. Yes it's about having an aptitude for the game at the 'elite' level ( god I hate this word elite nowadays lol ) but imho they've created far too complex a labyrinth for them ( draftees ) to course. Its not quite a sledgehammer to a Walnut but then you can crack a Walnut without aid if you know what you're on about. This is how i think when all is said and done that picks are made..by the recruiters judging whether a kid can play. The rest is icing...and far too much of it.
  15. why am I not surprised !! He ( contestant ) was obviously 'wired' differently from most
  16. what fence ??
  17. maybe tuesday the 9th then as not avail dec4
  18. It's got me stuffed. Think it's more about justifying a 'service' industry i.e all the HR people and such A lot of it is supposedly about problem solving techniques and personality traits.... Myers Brigg etc. Not sure what it really has to do with footy though...but hey
  19. reminds me of that gem A Battleship is coming down Swanston St .....what do you do ? Answer ....torpedo it from my Submarine !! Where did you get a submarine from ? Same f'n place where you got your Battleship !!
