  1. yeo dragged the pill back underneath him; that's holding the ball every day of week
  2. live stream here; https://www.afl.com.au/afl-tv/stream?player=arILJvH9PY&streamId=State League CH9
  3. our forward line has been a mish mash for years, so i think being as functional as it has been - three top 4 seasons in a row, with half a season to go to see if we can make it 4 top 4 finishes - is a CREDIT to stafford's coaching to get the most out of a random assortment of defenders turned forwards, midfielders turned forwards, a super talented but mercurial small forward, and a sparky from coldstream he must've done a helluva lot right, particularly with the woeful disposal we have going i50 far too often the only consistent in the forward 6 make up from 2020 to now has been fritsch (and prior to this season pickett and anb, as they both move thru the middle so much more at the moment) our skill level - or lack thereof - concerns me far more than our f50 set-up
  4. i saw the last 5 mins of the half and watched the last quarter live that was an awful game of football
  5. ross ball is so hard to watch i live in terror of us offering max king huge coin to come and be the next diamond Jim i'd much prefer lukosious so that his jack watts mannerisms are where they belong - at the g, running away from the contest ps: you can see why we're keen on battle - strong 1:1, good at ground level, and makes smart decisions with ball use
  6. agreed today, they're the lesser of two evils
  7. just move hawthorn to tasmania they love it down there
  8. you can see why we might be interested in ryan angwin from gw$ neat skills and repeat efforts plus solid defensive workrate
  9. can hawthorn just EFF OFF and be [censored] for an extended period of time for a bit? 50 odd years or so would suffice
  10. goldstein is 36 and still one of the best ruckmen in the competition i have no doubt max can be the same
  11. those last three are horrific that's our three main targets forward of the ball and they are all significantly down on last year based on this modelling
  12. to be honest, it's exactly what you want to see anyone can beat anyone, with the exception it would seem of north
  13. i think it was this week that i heard a description that most coaches affect the role of 'disappointed dad' rather than 'screaming and abusive' these days
  14. i see max as like goldstein - he can play on for a long, long time yet
  15. if his choices are between us, crom, and the filth, he'd be lookin at the latter two over us
  16. well last week was a disaster tips-wise, so let's go with: crom footscray? gw$? meth coke gc17? bloods baggers? them? my faith in us has wavered and i think filth's ground ball game and pressure will be too much for us hope i'm wrong but
  17. east timorese origins, which is how he qualified for our nga
  18. he's not young anymore - he turns 25 this upcoming off-season and should be entering the peak of his football powers i agree that we lack experience forward, particularly with anb playing so much more thru the midfield in 2024
  19. question for the next pod before we win / lose to the filth on monday - would our premiership chances be better off in the long-run if we DON'T make finals in 2024?
  20. weren't there two clubs - from memory, hawthorn and the peptides? - who were sniffing around spargo as recently as last year? small pressure forwards with good footskills are quite valuable
