  1. this we already have enough players who can't hit targets, would prefer not to add another who has struggled to be an afl level player the entire time he's been in the system
  2. judging from how unhappy jhf seems at north, i wonder if this could be the first time we simply see a player refuse to play for a year
  3. these 1-3 year players tho...demanding trades after they've played less than 50 games! pfft...try less than 20!!
  4. i imagine unrelated this will be about using the money set aside for dunkley
  5. be interesting to see how the pear could get it done
  6. we can but hope
  7. i'll stick with mine... the whinging, whining scott of the puddy tatts variety the whinging, whining scott of the peptides variety
  8. absolutely dripping with sarcasm
  9. half-back options ahead of him were: salem, hibberd, rivers, bowey good luck to him over west
  10. i would bet we'll bundle the pick with something else to do something
  11. we shall see, i guess
  12. and the rest the 'average' afl wage is $375k he's not going to move across the country to play for a bottom-ranked side for an 'average' wage
  13. count tomlinson and that's six - he would've likely played in a premiership team with the form he was showing in 2021 prior to injury grundy is a massive get i don't quite understand how it'll work, but he's very underrated on this board
  14. josh jenkins, tom rockliff, kane cornes... just ignore any of their misguided bleatings
  15. he's not quick, he is not particularly skilful, he doesn't seem to win his own football with any ease, and he can't make a very poor side's best 23 consistently i wouldn't have thought he'd be high in our priorities
  16. i demand he grow it back and plait it and dye one plait red and one plait blue really give hunt's 'footscray' headband a run for its money...
  17. saad bounces the ball the minute he gets possession i find it hilarious when carltank supporters go 'woof' about his kicking when the majority go 35m up in the air, 45m downfield, and more often than not result in a turnover
  18. i personally think he's not even worth close to that the 'average' afl player earns ~$375k per annum bowes, thanks to his willingness to shift his 5 year deal with gc17 to the final two years of his contract, is owed $850k pa over the next two years that, quite frankly, is absurd
  19. Bowes and pick 7 to the bears, pick 7 to the dogs for Dunkley?
  20. Didn’t place in the top 10 in Casey b and f despite playing majority of the year there He's got good speed but no more / less than Chandler, for instance, and none of the same ability to win and use his own ball
  21. Mids, mids, and more mids We have a special first three but after that it falls away in terms of skill, speed, and execution Our second string mids are average After that I’d say it’s outside run with skill, marking targets forward But, really, I would assume the priorities that our recruiters look at are the same as always: - can they win their own football? (Attitude) - can they execute under pressure? (Skill) - can they cope with the stresses and pressures of the afl environment? (Character)
  22. Bears have been a perennial top 4-6 side for the last five or so years? That's the definition of being in a premiership window I would’ve thought; very different to the aints one finals appearance every couple of years making them think they need to bring in high priced experience to ‘take them over the top’ Bears are pretty good in my book; the question is, are they good enough? So far over the last half decade, they haven’t proven to be
