  1. crows supporting mate of mine has used it for years; i thought it originated from mislabelled merch, but accoring to this, stolen from a bigfooty from april, 2021, it's a supporter-led thing that ended up making a fair whack of cash for fight mnd: Basically 5 years ago some lady on Adelaide Crows Pride forum said 'Go the Crom' after the win or something. A few supporters tried to get it going on and off for the next 4 years. When we were crap last year it took off being regularly used on Facebook. Adelaide Crowject Podcast have sold beanies with Crom on them at $25 each. Proceeds have gone to MND. I think they've made at least 5 grand for the charity maybe more. With that increasing due to the high demand. aunty made a vid about it too: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2500352820269500
  2. tangentially related to non-mfc clubs more than games - absolutely appalling bit of "journalism" from slobbo in the little paper wherein michael long basically dumps on cyril rioli with zero visibility of what he went thru cos he has had NOTHING to do with cyril for years the story screams of jealousy that caro got a helluva scoop that's ramifications throughout the footballing industry and he went straight for a negative click-bait approach in response
  3. i think one of the things that gets forgotten about weed is that he'd barely played and trained in the lead up to his draft, but the glimpses he'd shown at aps school football in particular were genuinely full of potential i would estimate he's probably not played 100 fully competitive games by dint of injury, including afl, vfl, and u/18s or school football, whereas some of his contemporaries were probably drafted with around that many underage, school, and / or vfl football games worth of experience
  4. more toey about this than last year's aflm gf vs footscray - saw that as a total 50-50 whereas the crom are an absolute powerhouse in aflw CARN THE DEES
  5. i presume @Cassiew meant 2010-19 inclusive? (and still rolling on not being bottom since 2009)
  6. i actually don't think they are; they've shown that they win at home and they play well when the game is on their terms, but when it tightens up they can't quite get it done their fixture should help them to top 4, but i don't see them as a threat away from the gabba
  7. Unfortunately he seems to be made of glass
  8. i presume every oztrayan gets free entry at some point once their latest upgrade is completed after all, we all paid for it!
  9. still better than andy 'not a midfielder, not a half-back, let's try him as a tagger' mcgrath tho i can't fathom how clangerfilled gets away without giving away barely any free kicks - regularly does things that i swear any other player would be pinged for
  10. last night was a tough watch but seemed cater made for our defensive lockdown style geriatrics? bloods filth? footscray? jokers? peptides? aints? carltank? only one other 'pretty sure i've got that tip' tip this week, with a lot more uncertainty
  11. smith should be helped by being able to return to training after covid protocols have expired; whenever they will expire, he should be able to be back in training by wednesday at the latest next week it wouldn't surprise if there was some random player miss as a result of entering into the protocols - will depend upon WHERE on the ground they come out of as to who the next cab off the rank may be, but it would seem it would be: bedford for pressure forward dunstan for inside mid baker for outside runner j smith for defender that said, if no one else is ruled out as a result of isolation requirements, it's hard to see many changes being made... OUT: weideman, tomlinson IN: sideshow bob, j smith
  12. not only is he the best ruckman i've ever seen at the dees - since mid-80s - but he's almost the most 'ruckmen...' of ruckmen; that missed snap that actually went the opposite way intended was PURE ruckman... but what i loved about it is that he then chased, tackled, harassed and arguably should've won a free for incorrect disposal but instead gave the free away brilliant ruckman, brilliant leader, brilliant off the field
  13. some highlights from page 2 of the pear bf post-game thread... Lost our last 5, 4 of those at AO. But yeah, we're on the right track just need to work harder. It was a dishonest performance, playing keepings off and trying to control the ball with slow sideways kicks in defence. It was purposely orchestrated to keep the margin close, and for the coaches to pat themselves on the back with a 5 goal loss to Melbourne. A few late goals when the Demons put the cue in the rack means nothing. It was a pathetic performance, a team that is disconnected, poorly skilled with a dysfunctional forward line. If you just looked at the score and saw that we lost by 32 points it doesn't seem that bad. In reality we should've lost by 10 goals. A goalless half was disgusting and something that Port has never dished up in the AFL before. The pressure on Ken continues to build. A demon player almost broke sweat That was the equivalent of a bye for the dees It's a shame Melbourne couldn't put their foot down but I guess they got bored. Why bother injuring yourself against a bottom 2 side Jeebus early April and the season's done. Who woulda thunk it
