  1. was there last night - great event daisy strongly indicated she's going around again
  2. don't see ryder's hit as too different to the one may did in his first preseason game for the dees, for which he copped a week from memory
  3. this is the worst one for mine only one is allowed to go up but the maggot will wait for ruckmen to amble to the stoppage before declaring themselves as the ruckman for the contest... surely it'd be better to throw it up (cos god knows they don't bounce it around the ground anymore) than wait for the congestion around the contest to be set in place, and if two from one team to go, then it's a free kick against?
  4. spot on - the fact that gil wants to have 'a role' in selecting his replacement says a lot as seen with the appointment of sarah wyse (who has just left) as head of afl media, they are desperate down in docklands to become more than just 'football' despite it being, of course, what their focus should be on it would be a major step down for her in prestige and wage, and that she'd be super reluctant to give up the footscray presidency, plus all of a sudden she'd have to have a very public profile also, to whomsoever upthread said that someone from disney would make afl 'more woke' or whatever nonsense that was, you clearly don't know much about disney!
  5. three favourites to take over: travis auld - inside the tent, part of the boy's club, knows where the bodies are buried benny gale - ceo of the tigers, completely changed that club for the better; lost out to gil last time kylie watson-wheeler - currently in charge of disney in oztraya, as well as pres of footscray, would be a massive change it's a vital appointment for the future of the competitions
  6. was certainly in top few with his contested ball winning
  7. classique 'hallmark celebration'
  8. ash may be one of few players who can go with him for both speed and fitness
  9. rd 10: richmond v essendon seems like for friday night carlton play sunday 3.20pm in rd 10 so their game v sydney would make more sense for saturday night our game vs north screams as a 'bury it on saturday twilight / sunday early' clash; probably the latter as we'll be coming back from a late game on sunday twilight vs meth coke over in wa rd 11: think it'll be a case of tigers getting ANOTHER big friday night exposure game; this time away vs sydney melbourne v freo at the g is every change of being a saturday afternoon game you'd think, which could be a novelty in a year in which we SHOULD be a prime time regular, despite us strangling sides defensive and thus them not being high-scoring affairs and thus double unattractive for channel 7 who ideally want big teams playing high scoring games with lots of ad breaks
  10. interesting, gw$ appear to be running two 'coolers' (the just-too-hip-for-me-baby terminology for taggers) these days, with lachie ash playing that role alongside matt de boer both are more than capable of winning their own ball and using it well; wouldn't surprise me at all to see the former assigned to langdon on a wing and the latter going inside on one of either petracca or oliver i've come around to a different line of thinking in terms of ins / outs - now think it'll only be sideshow bob back in for one of t mac or weed this is given the pretty tall forward line gw$ are running - hogan, himmelberg, and riccardi are all playing up front for them so far this year, but the latter two were completely anonymous (at least in terms of stats) against freo, so they might want to change it up for the game on saturday night they're really missing toby greene, daniel lloyd, and brent daniels from a forward pressure scenario, which might be why they've 'gone tall' so far in 2022, but none of them will be available this week
  11. ah right you are thanks for the fix-up
  12. No Cripps, no Carlton
  13. Ryder bump very similar to the one May got pinged for in his preseason game for us - should cop a week
  14. All the talk about him being worth $700k a year boggles through mind
  15. while we paid fair value for may, it is amazing the players gc17 have given away for nix over the years - brodie at freo having a ripper start at his new club, 2m peter the big key forward for the peptides, and jarryd lyons a regular finals performer for the bears
  16. that was pretty dirty by preuss
  17. From my understanding not one of them live anywhere near western Sydney where they’re meant to be growing the game in Bankstown etc - when gw$ started up they were nearly all housed together in Canada bay, and unsurprisingly a lot live in nice inner west locales like Balmain, Rozelle etc they are a soulless franchise that are simply there to add value to the broadcast rights agreement In saying all that I am of course worried about facing them next week due to residual MFCSS 😈
  18. funny that hogan plays against former clubs in consecutive weeks i didn't see the preuss hit - was watching the other game - but was it actually bad? high? deliberate? what level of impact?
  19. she clearly wants to coach at afl level at the moment, our coaching dept is super settled i don't think there's a role for her at the moment unfortunately
  20. desperately need the first goal this quarter, and early
  21. it's about to be - at least 5 players (including philips) going to the pear next season they are SO STRONG in the contest then the way marinoff and hatchard are SO QUICK break to space - we can't keep up with em
  22. north melbourne paid sydney swans $10,000 for the rights to wayne carey
  23. you would think so; gives lauren pearce a big advantage in experience
  24. crows supporting mate of mine has used it for years; i thought it originated from mislabelled merch, but accoring to this, stolen from a bigfooty from april, 2021, it's a supporter-led thing that ended up making a fair whack of cash for fight mnd: Basically 5 years ago some lady on Adelaide Crows Pride forum said 'Go the Crom' after the win or something. A few supporters tried to get it going on and off for the next 4 years. When we were crap last year it took off being regularly used on Facebook. Adelaide Crowject Podcast have sold beanies with Crom on them at $25 each. Proceeds have gone to MND. I think they've made at least 5 grand for the charity maybe more. With that increasing due to the high demand. aunty made a vid about it too: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2500352820269500
