bedford looks very sore - hore stood on his foot, and as bedford was hopping up and down on the mark he didn't 'stand' so conceded the 50 and hore kicks the goal tough ruling that one -
Top 8 Now Fixed - according to history

i'm not sure that's even close to being correct off the top of my head, peptides lost 83 to hawks and then won 84 and 85 against the same team, then won in 86 vs carlton then lost to them in 87, and then won back to backs in 88 and 89 meth coke lost in 91 then won in 92 north lost 98 but won in 99 meth coke also lost 05 and then won in 06 - both against swans cats lost 08 and then won 09 most recently, hawks lost the 2012 gf and then win the next three in a row -
shiel is signed on big, big money til the end of 2024 and doesn't look like an afl level player he can ONLY play in the midfield and his effort and impact is not even close to being good enough at the moment peptides in a world of pain...such a shame

it's watching games like this that makes me appreciate how good Melbourne's defence is

fwiw i believe the reason the afl don't have full goal line technology in 4k etc. is because they believe it's a broadcast issue - and as such the rights holder should pay for them - and the broadcasters (quite rightly) say no, it's an afl issue, and the afl says 'you don't expect US to pay for it, do you?!? we've got EXECUTIVE LEVEL BUSINESS to take to the united states to try to get you to pay more for the next rights agreement...that caviar in first class ain't cheap!' i did hear something on one of hutchy's many and various podcasts recently asking whether the afl could look to buy the jackjumpers license in the nbl and thus badge the 19th team with the same moniker and wrap them all up in to the same brand extension - that makes some vague sense but, of course, the afl doesn't spend money where it can possibly get someone else to do so it's why if a 19th license is allowed a 20th won't be too far behind - 19 teams offers no discernible value to broadcast rights etc. - they'll need a 20th team to do so

attendance is, relatively speaking, a bonus

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028

rather than watching a 10-sec grab on a commercial news channel, i suggest watching the entire press on the dees' website or social feed (twitter, youtube, etc.) he literally says he speaks to his brother about coming back here, as it's easier to bring someone home -
eddie is a recidivist sexist, racist, misogynistic liar figjam has now shown to be someone who says one thing in private and then repeatedly lies about it in public while besmirching the qualities and character of those who are accusing him of being a liar and not much of a leader the whole thing is an ugly mess - glad we're only tangentially involved thru our current ceo (who h seemingly had a valid complaint about his behaviour when at the filth) and h's post-filth career with us, which also ended on poor terms but at least didn't seem to have anything like the sort of appalling behaviour and culture exhibited at his previous club

The Veil of Negativity is gone … forever?
whatwhat say what replied to DubDee's topic in Melbourne Demons
mfcss always lingers at the edges... what i have thoroughly enjoyed about watching us over 2021/22 is that you can see how organised we are on-field, how well run we are off-field, and how much of a unified club we appear to be these days it's a far cry from as little as a decade ago, which goes to show that things can change quickly...hence the mfcss lurking... -
for mine it's not the free kicks you get / give, it's those that are missed and inconsistency there's usually only 3-4 howlers per game where the field umpire is blindsided, and there's always going to be inconsistency when there's three different individuals interpreting split second decisions what i REALLY didn't like on the weekend just past was when one called a mark for fritsch and the non-controlling umpire overruled - rather than a shot on goal for us they rushed the ball forward and, i think, kicked a goal infuriating edit: especially when the mark for king was paid when it a) came off hunt's back and b) was clearly touched by another demon player before that

there's not going to be any winners out of what's going on, that's for sure
-
think we can safely chalk this kid up as another nga who will get away why make it picks inside the arbitrary '40'? why not just make it first and second round? whole system screams out as another afl farce
-
i don't think of it as in tiers, more so as 'who can replace' in the line-up if required to play the same in the best possible 22... it means there's lots of double-ups but it's more a case of looking at who could play a similar role in our structure may: tomlinson salem: brayshaw harmes: sparrow / dunstan petracca: harmes jackson: weideman viney: harmes / dunstan lever: j smith spargo: bedford / chandler brayshaw: jordon gawn: jackson oliver: sparrow langdon: jordon / baker bowey: rivers / hibberd jordon: baker rivers: hibberd mcdonald: weideman (weideman: m brown) hunt: hibberd anb: chandler / bedford fritsch: melksham (? - very hard role to replace) sparrow: dunstan petty: tomlinson pickett: bedford

Where does Gus play when Salem returns?
whatwhat say what replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
no, that's the thing - he plays where the coaching dept wants him to, and he has a premiership medal to show for it, and could have another plus an all australian selection by the end of the season with the way he's playing in 2022 -

Where does Gus play when Salem returns?
whatwhat say what replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
wouldn't move gus away from the back flank - he's in career best form playing that role unfortunately i think that means rivers is the likely one to drop out -
seeing as richmond and collingwood have a combined membership of ~220k with under 64k turning up to see them play to get a top 8 spot...

may looked like he was ready to kill him and then pulled out of the contest to a greater / lesser degree
