Although some would say Fritsch is. I didn’t really think this through ?

For anyone who has seen The Replacements, Joel Smith is the Shane Falco of this week.
  3. Need directions back to the main road?
  4. As a whole I couldn’t be more proud. What a magnificent season. A sparky playing for Casey 12 months ago is now a fully fledged AFL player. This setback will be the making of him again.

For sure. Planning, planning and more planning. Buckley at our game on Fri night said a lot about this theory. In the current NFL I think you really have to be a brainy, nerdy type that spends all day studying film and refining tactics to be a head coach. A real obsessed type. The days of coaches you could have a beer with like Rex Ryan are dying.

It’s definitely all about momentum this league. We’re a chance but would have to improve a bit to match it with the big boys. The line is still a slight worry especially interior, Jimmy is getting hit too often. But you can only go one week at a time

Yep, like a Champions League group of death the next month. Your Pack at Lambeau in week 6 which I’m not confident about at all. Then Gorg’s Rams! I’m not dreaming big this season to be honest. I thought we would challenge for playoffs but when Jerick Mckinnon did his ACL those chances took a hit. We had big plans for him in the offense. 8-8 would be a great result I reckon.

Best performance of the week. Of the games I saw at least. Starting to look like The Greatest Show On Turf!

    Silly comparison.

Was easy to miss, the focal point of the play was the interception. Before it got waved off that is.

Man I'm confused! After checking the definition of free agency you appear to be correct, but if Lever was a restricted free agent why did we have to do a trade? Another question is was he even a restricted free agent at all? If not then that got misreported a fair bit. I do see what you're saying. He can still get a good money offer from us, I just feel like we will be poles apart in comparison to what North are offering. That's also with no knowledge of our financial capacity mind you, purely hunches.

The logic of a human being turning down a bumper money offer and the logic of our club having next to nothing to use in a potential trade for him were the two bullet points that came to mind.

Already moved on from Gaff. Think it's been dead in the water for a while now. I wouldn't be surprised if the reports that he was keen a few weeks ago were true but a lot can change in that time. It would defy a fair bit of logic if he were to come here.

Do people really think a move to North would be all about money? Not exactly bottom feeders. They showed a lot of promise this season and along with Polec joining is have them pushing for the 8 next season.

Fluffed it last week and forgot my tips. This week goes Packers, Bengals, Patriots.

I've got no doubt about that at all. We'll all be taking turns . Nothing worse than your team getting a big juicy sack and getting the rush of blood only to see the flag down.
  17. What I’d give to be in an empty MCG and have one of the great people here recall their memories of the day! Student of the game, guilty as charged! Just love history!

Also now that Ryan Fitzpatrick has won two games and is officially now QB royalty (judging by the way he turned up to his presser), is Winston in trouble?

Just finished watching the Niners v Lions game and all I’ll say is it’s good to get a win. Played well for 2 1/2 quarters but in my mind the Lions went from being a joke to a team that is giving it a fair crack this season. They really need to clean up on their penalties though. Only other game I’ve seen is extended highlights of Vikes @ Packers and wow what a belter. The Matthews hit is just another example of this new rule, it’s going to be real tough to lay a hit on a QB and I look forward to the next week when what was once a good hit wipes off a good play. You can’t bring ‘half pressure’ on a QB. Very good game though I think both those teams will be at the pointy end.
  20. Not from that era I’m in my 30s, but I just wanted to say that I’ve watched that highlights reel so many times I have it memorised.

So currently 2-0 with 20 mins left. Spurs have had moments but have generally looked off the boil.

To have a clean pocket means everything for a QB. For instance I think Dak Prescott is a decent QB. Will never be a star but I think he can turn out to be a good B or B+ QB. That line has made him look like Brady in recent years.
