  1. A great servant of the club and one of the few ex players I would have been happy to see play finals. Not gonna waste energy on it but it deserves a thought.
  2. You're right about one thing, its about creating a new culture. I'm sure the players are well on the way to doing that.
  3. I definitely think Melksham should have been in and probably Gawn would be a little stiff but Grundy was pretty good after being challenged by Ryder early. Was a massive team effort from us. I'm not fussed about team of the week this week.
  4. Rarely focus on the umpires. Honestly wouldn't know half their names.
  5. I'm so grateful there wasn't a camera filming me in the last 5 minutes. The men in white coats would have been at by door in 2 seconds flat.
  6. Come on Joeboy rigged is a massive allegation to make just because we got the rub of the green with a few decisions. I know it probably still seems surreal that this club could ever have some success but crikey.
  7. Yeah Ryan Ferguson is the only one that comes to mind for me. Not unheard of but very rare. And knowing Jack he’d probably rather take his medicine than do anything to hurt the club.
  8. Love that story! Apart from the West Coast supporter drivel of course. Everything else is what you go to the footy for!
  9. Good job Smithy!
  10. For sure mate. I feel more connected to this group than ever after seeing their reactions after the game. All this year we were wondering if they felt the pain that we did and there were some telling images that you just couldn’t orchestrate if you tried yesterday. Let them have it!
  11. I was also a Watts fan. I did NOT want to trade him. If nothing else purely for the fact that we needed as much elite kicking as we could get. We made a tough decision and I do feel bad for him because he clearly bled red and blue but we had to make this decision.
  12. Ok ok, bloke’s entitled to an opinion. I don’t necessarily agree with it but you could see what he was saying.
  13. I can see what you’re saying. Many people have played a part in the journey.
  14. Just in case you thought I trawled through the archives to bump it with a dumb joke.
  15. Who could forget!
  16. Oh for the love of Clive Waterhouse! Appreciation society? ?
  17. What a 24 hours it’s been people!
  18. I BLOODY LOVE YOU OX ❤️ No.5 forever!
  19. Yeah look I'll put my hand up there, a bad joke. My opinion doesn't change but it wasn't nice. You do crazy things after breaking a 12 year finals drought
  20. I hardly think throwing a little barb his way is 'sinking the boot in' but I get what you're saying
  21. I'm not sure. I kind of want to keep emotion out of it for now and just play who we play and hopefully get a win. But that could all change soon.
  22. Don't get me wrong there is a bit of sadness to it. He spent a very long time in a dismal environment and was quite often unfairly the poster boy for our failings. But at the end of the day if he was good enough he'd still be here. For Jack its not just a matter of saying that he was unlucky and didn't choose to leave. He could have been part of it if he really wanted to.
  23. That's life unfortunately, he had a few goes.
