  1. He's a special player yes, a very special one. Maybe the most important weve ever had, but he's one player and the fact remains that teams have gone on to succeed without great players. There's not a footy coach in the country that would think planning a whole system around one player is a sustainable idea so the challenge is there now. Otherwise let's just bin the season now and go home. I'm as gutted about this as anyone and yes it's going to hurt and be incredibly difficult to overcome but it is Round 2 and I am not throwing the months of March to September into the trash or finding something better to do like paint and sip classes or gardening. It's a long season, sh*t happens.
  2. I thought it was his non previously repaired knee?
  3. There was this guy on a million bucks who went down last year for Collingwood and they then went on to be one kick from a grand final I believe. But hey, he was a big part of their gameplan and they probably planned all summer with him in it so screw that. Looking forward to all the contrary comments about not being as good of a leader as Max or not being able to mark etc
  4. I liken it to Virgil Van Dijk's ACL at the start of the 20-21 season.
  5. Very fair point. Any changes are going to take weeks to take effect. The challenge is laid down though and our premiership coaches will have to earn their bucks.
  6. Let's just remember Max himself isn't a doctor.
  7. Bulldoze the Gabba and build a new one for the Oympics.
  8. Luck of the gods now
  9. It's been a night we will never forget. Goodnight Montreal.
  10. Good points. It did get out of hand quickly and they got us on this occasion.
  11. I didn't either. Well except for one thing, the clearances. They belted us in that area, plain and simple. They beat us clearly in an area that we usually always boss them in and sorry but that's not all down to us playing garbage. Lions did some things right.
  12. Look we've beaten them in the last game we played them in. It only went for 12 mins but still a match.
  13. What's Cam Pedersen's phone number?
  14. Well that gane showed the dark side of football.
  15. I get that Jaded but it's bordering on insanity to plan a whole structure around one guy, especially since we also just brought in a million dollar ruckman. I know some players are impossible to replace. It hurts and it hurts bad but I'm not shutting this down after Rd 2, I can't, there's too much football season to go.
  16. If our structure relies on one guy then we need a better structure.
  17. Cross everything you got you filthy animals
  18. 6. Lever 5. Brown 4. Hunter 3. Clarry 2. Bowey 1. Spargo
  19. I would have been happy to walk off when the lights went out Titan. But the show went on and we went down fighting, doesnt excuse the overall perofrmance but it beats the alternative.
  20. Yep, that's game Hendrix
  21. So comprehensively beaten around the contest. We got bin diesel'd. The AFL fools wanted their completed match and we gave it to them. Mother always said when life gives you lemons and potatoes, you make lemon potatoes.
  22. Gotta take what you can get. Percentage trimmers count.
  23. Yeah restarts suck
