  1. Gruelling game, 31 degrees in Adelaide today. How do you get this team up for another game in 5 days time? Can we expect at least a few rotations?
  2. Good God 5 days ain't long! Personally wouldn't play May way too short a turnaround.
  3. Pretty glad to get this over that mob. Were we that good? No we were not, were we good when it counted, hell yes. And that is what the game is mostly about, like a good boxer you look for the telling blow at the right time. We hung in and made the most of our opportunities while Port threw everything at us and will wonder how the heck they didn't win. Lord knows we've been in that position enough ourselves. This is very close to the best game I've seen ANB play. 23 touches, 2 goals, a staggering 30 pressure acts. The running this guy does is insane and constantly pushes up high. Ben Brown gave us something to kick to. Yes he isn't the body on body forward we need but he's still got a good set of hands and if we get it in quick to him he'll be a force. Couldn't believe he was able to get that purchase on the ball just before 3QT. Petracca had a touch one early but worked his way in as did Oliver. Clarry having 9 possessions and a couple of clearances in the last. Could easily have 4 brownlow votes so far. The back 6 were often under prsssure especially when we were getting rinsed on clearances but I thought Lever marshalled things well, T-Mac is coming along nicely and I thought Marty Hore did a great job as that other tall there. Maxy was tremendous again, where would we be without Maxy! He is simply the best and needs a fair dinkum statue one day after another flag and a future stint as lord mayor. We love you Max! Ed Langdon held width as usual, tracked back on multiple occasions to help the backs, a beauty of a goal. One of his better games in a while. Plenty of average performances but we got it done collectively in the last. Who cares how you win just win baby. Lastly thanks to all MFC fans whether you made the trip over and screamed your lungs out or if you watched on telly in Melb and screamed at the TV. You are all the best and give yourself a pat on the back. Enjoy Easter, don't have too many Easter eggs and let's dine on Crow soup next week. Go Dees!
  4. So proud of this guy. I'm happy to call him an A-grader now. 23 possessions 2 awesome goals and 30 yes 30 with a 'three' pressure acts. Unheard of.
  5. 6. Alex Neal-Bullen 5. Max Gawn 4. Christian Petracca 3. Jake Lever 2. Ed Langdon 1. Ben Brown
  6. At the end of the day nothing shuts down hearsay and innuendo like winning. Nothing matters but the players in these rooms.
  7. Every Melb fan watching on TV..
  8. Thought Marty Hore did a good job down back. It's a pleasure having him back at the club.
  9. Almost unheard of!
  10. Clayton Oliver 9 possessions, 4 contested and 2 clearances in the last quarter.
  11. Credit for putting the hand up. Very few do.
  12. ANB is the 6 million dollar man
  13. 6 behinds. How awesome is accurate kicking?
  14. Just good to have a big presence to be mindful of as a defender as well. As long as he doesn't have to do too much defensive running he's still a good target.
  15. Those saying it's our best win for a while would probably be right. Adelaide is a damn hard place to go and win but we've gone over to their house and kicked the door in. Next week I want to smash the rear windows as well.
  16. Tom McDonald going along very nicely right now.
  17. This is one of those wins where you turn around to the cynics and say "listen cynics, the real world may not always be pleasant but that doesn't mean it's not beautiful"
  18. Eventually we'll have to figure out how on earth we won it but right now who gives a toss.
  19. Watching all these Port fans eat a big hessian bag of you know what is making me smile ear to ear 😄
  20. Benny Brown winds back the clock. He ain't done
  21. ANB the most underrated player in the league right now..
  22. The game wasn't bad viewing too!
  23. What an amazing win by this magnificent football club!
  24. That's a bit lame but who cares
  25. How the hell have we won this?
