The likelihood is that Brown will retire. He simply can't get on the park for an extended period of time now without the knee playing up. T-Mac would likely stay on for his final year. You would hope as depth but if he's unable to provide the movement we need from him then he could well be a pricey VFL player.

I'll take your word for it, I really hope you are right.
  3. Noticed Keitel was invited to train with Freo ahead of the 2022 season. With them also in need of a decent key forward in recent times I'd be keen to know why they didn't take him on?
  4. They don't grow on trees so we will need to get creative. T-mac and Brown near the end, JVR and Jefferson still kids, we need to be looking at guys like this who might help.
  5. Would blow our window open another few years. Reminds me a lot of the Lynch situation. Would love to see it happen.
  6. MFC: I'm here to complain about the ARC incident. AFL: Hmmm, ahhh, talk to that officer over there..

    More human than human.
  8. What a player. You need these guys at VFL level.

I'd prefer no Hickey just quietly.
  10. At least his Twitter handle is still @ooze21. Is this unchangeable Tweeters?
  11. Better kiss that one goodbye.
  12. If Jaded is positive on a thread like this you just need to chalk it up as a W. That goes for me too by the way.
  13. Well done Ooze! Plenty of false dawns and garden paths in the journey but you deserve this chance.

Gotchya. Guess we'll see if he can still cut it as a no.1.

Horrific injury to Browns RB Nick Chubb on Tuesday. It was apparently so gruesome that ESPN would show a replay. Knees just aren't meant to bend that way ☹️ Steelers fans chanted Chubb's name as he was carted off the field. Take notes Collingwood, very possible for a big fanbase to act with grace.
  17. I agree when it comes to psychology. Winning a flag can do a lot for it and your belief goes into another stratosphere. I look at the Geelong side of the 00s, RIchmond in the 10s as teams that were perenial losers to becoming consistent units after they broke through, for the last two seasons I believe we also had that effect. There can be the adverse affect as well though, two failed seasons and no win on the G in finals since 2018. Things like this have the potential to flatten the mindset and spiral, why would you continue to keep working as hard if it could all just fall apart at the end? It's a slippery slope and needs to be handled with care to get the mind in best shape as possible. AFL footballers do plenty of conditioning physically, they also need to do it mentally.

No more Hickey I'm afraid. Definitely what Sydney needs.

The best thing about Collingwood is they play a style to suit the players at their disposal.
