  1. Well said. When all was said and done this year looks like more was said than done.
  2. The head coach position has evolved into this and Goodwin was one of the trendsetters. There's a lot of demand on head coaches so I think it's smart to have a solid right hand when it comes to strategy so Goody can be more of an overseer and also focus on the relationship side of things. I think this role is going to be one that we need to nail and it can't be anybody. Whoever we get needs to be his eyes on gameday and a very quick thinker.

In my opinion this isn't a role to cut your teeth on. Almost like the head coaching job you would need at least 2 years experience in the system for roles like this these days.

Ok. Your opinion is wrong, you're wrong and you stink. Better?
  5. I would take a 2 goal a game forward in a heartbeat.

I'm giving Nudge a go on this one. If it comes off then we build him a church.

It limits all opinion to being either correct or incorrect. I don't think it is wrong to question whether players are in our future, succession planning is important and tough calls need to be made for success but not everything is black and white and doesn't mean the alternative is 100% wrong as well.
  8. Total garbage. I don't go on social media much but I saw one of my Collingwood friends write a huge post about rubbing Maynard out would set a precedent and the game we love would be ruined blah blah and someone commented that all the hate for Collingwood on social media is getting old. Seriously? Complaining about that? You barrack for the biggest sporting club in the country with vile fans, get used to it. Also it will never get old.

Wouldn't be bad, however Mckercher would be more upside for me. There's a lot to like about Sanders but from what I've seen so far I'm more impressed with his hand distribution that foot. Mckercher has great acceleration and that left foot is brutal, would really help with linkup play.

The worst is when someone literally says "I believe my opinion to be the correct one".

If rumours of any kind of bust up between Grundy and the club are true, then I don't see how this gives us a lot of leverage. Sure we could force him to honour his contract but that could have other ramifications and infect the morale of the team. Haven't even got a recent 'trade bait game' from him to hang our hat on. I'd be gobsmacked if we got 11 but over the moon if it somehow happened.
  12. Wow, that is one cruddy poker hand. I've barely even spoken to my Collingwood supporting father in the last two weeks..

The likelihood is that Brown will retire. He simply can't get on the park for an extended period of time now without the knee playing up. T-Mac would likely stay on for his final year. You would hope as depth but if he's unable to provide the movement we need from him then he could well be a pricey VFL player.

I'll take your word for it, I really hope you are right.
  15. Noticed Keitel was invited to train with Freo ahead of the 2022 season. With them also in need of a decent key forward in recent times I'd be keen to know why they didn't take him on?
  16. They don't grow on trees so we will need to get creative. T-mac and Brown near the end, JVR and Jefferson still kids, we need to be looking at guys like this who might help.
  17. Would blow our window open another few years. Reminds me a lot of the Lynch situation. Would love to see it happen.
  18. MFC: I'm here to complain about the ARC incident. AFL: Hmmm, ahhh, talk to that officer over there..

    More human than human.
  20. What a player. You need these guys at VFL level.

I'd prefer no Hickey just quietly.
  22. At least his Twitter handle is still @ooze21. Is this unchangeable Tweeters?
  23. Better kiss that one goodbye.
