  1. Great light towers these days. Remember when it used to take 15 mins to fully warm up again after the ceremony?
  2. Swift work Deever.
  3. Got here too early and making conversation with myself in the Beames bar. No choice but to get a pint.
  4. My grandfather Andrew Lucas and my great uncle James Scott. Both served in the RAAF in New Guinea. My grandfather also passed away in 1974 at the age of 51 from lung cancer, my great uncle made it to 93 in 2019. Will be thinking of them tonight.
  5. He's not getting his place back anytime soon that's for sure.
  6. You're talking about screen mirroring from a phone yes? It's not terrible but definitely not 720p. Nothing to sneeze at if one isn't fussed with quality but I can't even watch AFL in standard definition most of the time. Would definitely prefer the laptop plugged in to TV method.
  7. Oh if you get a railing it's fantastic! Had to go 3 'standing rows' deep for the Carlton final last year with a bad ankle, could have used that railing support.
  8. Petty to bag a hatful.
  9. I'm 9th out of 12 in my tipping group so taking some juicy ones this week: Dees Ess Bris Port Adel Geel Dogs Suns Swans
  10. Almost forgot the binos this morning. Gonna need them if I end up stuck on level 4..
  11. I'm good with it for now. Whoever is in there will need time to learn on the job. Woey just needs games at this point, progress won't always be linear but worth persisting with IMO.
  12. Same deal for me. Will likely give up and head straight to Level 4 though.
  13. Yeah that one. You could screen mirror your phone to the TV but the quality will be garbage and you can't use your phone for anything else.
  14. The time is here and I’m putting out a gameday PSA. If you have never been to the ANZAC eve game before I strongly encourage you to get along tonight. I know it’s an away game but the pre match ceremony is truly something the be seen in person. “They shall not grow old” and great words but I believe that nights like this really put that into practice. We all enjoy living in this great country and this night is for all of us. I myself have a deep personal connection with WW2. While my background is Greek, my grandfather and my great uncle served in the RAAF in New Guinea. They both returned but had their lives changed forever from that point on. I’ll always be proud of what these two and many others sacrificed so could live the lives we do today and I’m always thinking of them during the minutes silence. Regardless of your background or what you believe this night/day is for you and again if you’ve never experienced it I would seriously consider getting along tonight or to the dawn service at the Shrine tomorrow which I’ll also be attending. And lastly, go the mighty Dees!
  15. Yep, we love Victoria's big build and won't say a bad word about it.
  16. She'll go 300 hectares on a single tank of kerosene.
  17. They may eventually build a tunnel under the track for ground access. Either way it's a silly reason to call it a deal breaker when they're currently walking to and from Gosch's in their undies.
  18. Yes I would, absolutely.
  19. Dirk will get another chance soon don't you worry about that.
  20. Thanks Kev, great day to be down there. Encouraged by the Turner forward signs, yes it's risky and would prefer a larger VFL sample size but it says a lot about where we are at with depth for that position. Disappointed if Dirk Tholstrup is dropped it would have been good to let it ride for a week based on his endeavour. Hopefully we'll see him again soon. Laurie to join the mid rotations by the sounds of it. This is his chance now to step up and will be watching him closely.
  21. It's not nothing but it's not much of something either. The sooner the Dogs realise that 4 key talls isn't the way 'forward' the better.
  22. He's that man right now but will he be that man come finals? Now is the time to try these guys and see what they can do. God forbid we get to the end of the season with someone injured and all we have is an untested Fullarton to throw in there.
  23. A step in the right direction. Seems to be win-win for all involved and not too invasive on the community. Wait and see..
