Sir Why You Little replied to Drunkn167's topic in Melbourne Demons
Absolutely. An attitude sadly lacking since John Northey was in charge -
Don't get a big head Jack This is exactly why i don't like Co Captaincy If he was VC Jonesy could then tell him to Keep quiet and keep things in house. Remember when Chris Dawes bagged out Whorethorn a few years back Worked a treat.

ADMIRED PAST PLAYERS FROM OTHER CLUBS
Sir Why You Little replied to Bobby McKenzie's topic in Melbourne Demons
Are you serious? Senior was incredible on a footy field, nobody could stop him until his final years... -
Agreed Don't like co captaincy at all. It dilutes the position and favourites could emerge. I know it is a buzz concept like Team Members in a work place I just find it unnecessary Make Viney the VC and he will learn from the Captain... it's just extra complications otherwise...
-
Maybe. But you are taking away any chance 5 games equals 20 points and if you win them you should have the chance to rise without hitting a barrier of a conference table
-
No. I just dont like restrictions on everything. It's to rigid The game will never be perfect, stop trying to find perfection
-
Not from 13th they can't. Look how tight last year was. A 1987 type run last year could have made huge inroads. You must leave all those opportunities open or Teams will tank worse than we have seen before
-
This is the best arguement against 17-5 so far a lot of unpredictability will be lost if 17-5 is adopted. It's too rigid and i don't care if the NFL do it. Those clowns aern't always right, look at The White House!
-
I agree Dub 17-5 does fix certain problems BUT it also creates a whole lot of new ones It does place a lot more restrictions on what can be done At present if you win you rise up the ladder, lose you fall..that is it 17-5 will be like the duckworth lewis shambles at certain times.

Have heard similar stories from Carlton Supporters who knew players at the same time. Elliot's last Stand, that failed dismally -

Spot on...

Yeah by about Round 5-6 you would just go to the "drop zone"
-
Yes fair call. I just don't like restricting the ladder. Draft picks will always produce many problems regardless of rule changes
-
Your last sentence would be a massive problem. No doubt
-
So you cannot have a huge run to the 8 from way back anymore how boring

It is the greatest Con of the modern world... and it is all going to plan -
Tanking to drop down a possy Could cause more trouble than we have now. Position 7 is SO MUCH better than 6

Balmey would have won flags if Schwarz and Jakovich had not been cruelled by injury Pagan did nothing at Carlscum -
I am proposing to get rid of a rule that was introduced. Because it has created a whole lot of new problems. Again i say the only way to STOP congestion is through player fatigue. If players continue to rotate off the bench they will always have the energy to cngest the ball. Getting tired was part of our game for over 100 years and it might even get us a 100 goal kicker.
-
No. It is to drastically reduce the rotation numbers OR stop rotations all the way to the way it was. Why? because it didn't work the one concession i would make if necessary is to increase the bench to 6. I am not saying we go back to 70's Footy but reducing the rotations WILL decrease congestion. 16 a side will do nothing. Coaches will just flaunt the rule...
