I don’t see how else it could be handled in this Social Media Climate we now live. There is no way all this could be kept behind closed doors, too many factors involved, plus secrecy only increases tension. It was always going to get messy, but once a decision is made either way, within 24 hours it will be forgotten. There is no lingering residue, this stuff happens every trade week period. The club have given JW an ultimatuum, it is up to him how he interperets it The Club is not stained at all. The only stain is that we missed finals 2 years running when we had a realistic chance.

I saw Jack play a bit of school footy and i know kids who played Basketball with him. He was a total gun without having to try. That is the crux. I believe one preseason with the riot act under his nose is worth it. A gamble yes, but his skill level can be that good. But i fully understand the club washing its hands of the old Jack. Not disageeing with you, but i still believe Jack can become a player IF he realizes that this is it. He now has to prove himself. From school days Jack was always the best. He never had to learn to push himself. He just played Jack Football, which got him results For that reason i would give him next preseason (If he doesn’t want to go) to prove his worth to the team ethos i value his kicking, and because of that i would say to him ”This is it”
