Jesus H. Christ i was wondering what the further breakdown was. Ever since Round 22 last year when the Bears kick 5 in a row to almost steal the game, i have wondered whether Goodwin has the steel balls this sick club needs. We are still sick, make no mistake....

One of our problems is we look at other sides deficiencies and think “oh they are doing it to, so it is not so bad” i do not care what 17 other sides are doing, we fix our problems, we win Rounds 22 +23 last year cost us a Finals spot. Last Summer should have been Priority 1, tighten up opposition scoring, and if it was, last sunday proved 100% that whatever coaching methods are being taught are a complete failure.

That is more than a whole season.... Let that sink in and people still bring up excuses

I never question his endeavour, but he is so easily brushed aside in the big games. R. Flower played well against any side, even if the team was rubbish. Jonesy does not inspire. He is a fantastic Blue Collar worker, but not an inspiration. I am sure he works really hard during the week. But the MFC is a basket case that needs so much more than Jones can give. In AFL terms right now, we are a special needs case. We have talent, but no ticker

Great servant yes, but no Captain Clubs are going to come hard at us now, and if we don’t react, it’s back to the bottom where this club has sat so often.

Hawthorn (115) v Melbourne (48) In a shrewd move, Melbourne decided to hide any progress they’ve made in recent years, by giving up entirely at quarter time, despite leading at the time. It was less taking your foot off the pedal and more throwing the car into reverse and flooring it back to 2009. It was an interesting move that I’m sure is part of some clever long-term plan. How else would you describe a performance this inept? This lacking in heart? The Dees would only kick one goal after quarter time, against a Hawthorn team that seemed to only have injured players. Hawthorn though were trying, and the cruised home in this one by 67-points in a brutal display that at one stage had the Melbourne cheer squad replace their normal flags with white ones to signal the surrender. It was as if the Dees had seen Brisbane’s and Carlton’s performances and felt their reputation as the most embarrassing team in the competition was under threat. Simon Goodwin has shown this season that he’ll drop non-performers, with Jayden Hunt being dropped previously, but now he faces dropping almost the entire side if he sticks to his guns. A lot of people faulted Goodwin after Clarkson did some magic coaching things at quarter time and the Dees didn’t respond, but I’m not sure any coach should have to tell players to do things like run or tackle, these are basics. As always with Melbourne, the players are the problem and within them lies the solution, there’s no messiah coming, no super coach. With the talent they have, there’s no way they should kick one goal in three-quarters of football. This is all on them.

Not at all, but that foot injury may do it for him. All i am saying is that the current Captain onfield right now is not the man for the job He stuck to his task on Sunday, when during the 2nd Q he needed to take some matters into his own hands, as Captain and start Leading. I love Jones, but he aint the Captain this club needs. The MFC is not the average Football Club, special needs come to mind. The foundations are too weak still, we needed Roos for at least 5 years Jones is too nice, i would never knock his endeavour
