  1. I never said you were, BUT you don’t want the club to grow... And that attitude has been around for a long time “We are a small club and will always be that.” I have seen that written on here so many times over the past 14 years, and people wondered why i was cranky... We represent a Big City.
  2. You will be jumping off soon because it will all become a little bit too hard, you have already stated that. That is exactly the attitude the MFC does not need right now going forward Get rusted on. The Club is going to grow. If i never get to another game, i shall always help the club Financially and will love seeing a Capacity Crowd jammed in to watch The Demons smash another hapless opposition
  3. Sure you are. You don’t want the club to become Big. You want it to be small so you can get your seat. I have had enough of sitting in a huge stadium where i can count the supporters in other Grandstands. It is embarrassing. We are the Club of the City. We must work bloody hard to hold that privilege 100,000 will become our standard Membership as this City grows each week
  4. Clubs always need Members OD. I NEVER want to see the MFC kicked around the league EVER again. Your attitude towards the future is very similiar to that of the club in 1965 and we all know how that panned out...
  5. Yep. Took a while before i realized that is the only option
  6. Attitudes like this have held us back for nearly 6 Decades now. OD wants a nice comfy seat in our 100,000 seat Stadium, but if it gets a little too busy, he will withdraw his Membership and Punish the Club... I want the MFC to have 300,000 passionate Members, who go to MFC Social Clubs around Melbourne to watch and Celebrate the team, when the MCG is booked out disapointed in you OD... maybe Nought is a better club for you
  7. Pert spoke really well. He is seeking advice and ideas from “Melbourne” people before he stamps his operational style into the job. We will once again be a Big Club” where we always should haveï»żï»ż stayed. I have no doubt. “Get the kids on boaï»żrd before they turn 9...” 100,000 members within 5-10 years can be achieved with winning footy, played the riï»żghï»żt way
  8. I gather Posts can’t be deleted off the board, as i have been trying to find a delete function for about 10 minutes!! there isn’t one!!
  9. Yes i read that the club didn’t want exposure. Just so short sighted. I lost a very close mate to suicide 4 years ago, and that stemmed from Workplace bullying over a period of at least 2 years. The company did nothing about it even though they knew about it, but the boss turned up to the Funeral and offered to pay for the service. Let’s just say a few people had to be restrained when they found out who this person was.
  10. The AFL and the clubs still think they are somewhat outside of society, when in reality they are Front and center in terms of interest. Why would a talk be cancelled???
  11. Wow. That is so sad. To be in that mindset, to will yourself to do that...That Black Dog is a strong energy pull i often see on my twitter feed that Wayne Schwass still plans out every single day....
  12. Yep. Sucking the $$$’s out of other Sports is an AFL artform Never satisfied....
  13. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$’s
  14. Sydney with nearly 61,000 Members. I would never have guessed anywhere near that!! Must be a lot of Free Tickets up there to bump up those figures
  15. So it shouldn’t be played. The risks are too high My point from the beginning. I don’t barrack for the AFL, i barrack for the MFC. This AFLX thing will not help us win Flags, but it may get Gill a Bonus....
  16. So we have to sacrifice our 2-3 players for this blazĂš Quasi American experiment to maybe work. If the product was good enough it should survive on its own merits. Time will tell. But if a Demon is badly injured you have been forwarned SWYL will not be in a good space!!!
  17. Gotta be dodgy. 2 Game Membership maybe?? Something Bumped it up
  18. But you can’t have it both ways. You want to see Topline Players competing in this thing, but no MFC Players. You can bet most supporters will feel exactly the same way. “But don’t use our players...” just wait until a Reiwolt or a Dangerfield does a knee or breaks a serious bone playing this Summer Marvel Cartoon thing... And let’s hope it aint a Demon
  19. The MCG Members keep the MCG running Sure there are other sources, but Membership keeps the old girl alive...
  20. Oh dear will Scooby Doo be on at Half Time
  21. I understand the concept. I know what the AFL want to do. I just don’t like it because the product is cheap and Americanised, and if any players get injured playing this Crap, i hope the AFL get sued.
  22. I agree entertainment ans sport are becoming blurred in some areas and yes Tackle Free Footy. I am glad you mention that. It’s not footy is it. By all means promote a hybrid sport, i am not against that, i am against using elite AFL Footballers to do it. That is my point of contention all along. The risks are too high for heavily invested Clubs, Sponsors and Members
  23. T20 means nothing. It is forgotten the next day. I don’t consider that to be great for the sport. Yes it makes a lot of money, and many use that as a measuring stick. I think Day/Night Test Matches are a great idea. With T20 Players are on obscene contracts for 6 weeks work and who would want to be a bowler? Some people think it’s a great idea. I think it’s cheap and nasty Just don’t play senior players in the AFLX... The risk for little reward is too high
  24. You will rate injuries if this “New Brilliant Marketing Option” takes out gun MFC Players and stops us winning flags. The game markets itself in my opinion, i still question the relevance of GW$ or Gold Coa$t. But that is another topic
  25. Yes you have said all that before, not all change is good and i will repeat AFLX should not use Senior Club listed players in its experiments. It will get ugly if someone is seriously hurt. That is my main concern. It’s why State of Origin was killed off, and we all loved those games
