Please let it go. It was a long time ago, during a period of our history no one can be proud of. Mark didn’t set out to completely bomb out, i felt sorry for the guy to a degree.that win against Essendrug when Neeld was on the Boundry line at the final siren proved that The list at the time was fractured and wouldn’t change. The CEO had to go first... Please don’t bump this thread again.

VFL Curtain Raisers Return to G in 2019
Sir Why You Little replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not sure where Eddie sits in all this, maybe he has sold the contract onto 7, i have no idea. If the fans roll up early to watch these games, things may change. It would be great to get Reserves Footy back at every game But i doubt we will see many more games as curtain raisers. This is just a way to fill in “dead” time so that Ch7 can have continuous product and advertising to lead into the evening news. -

Pert's Plan to Make the Dees an AFL Power
Sir Why You Little replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
We have all been burnt before, but i think Pert will do a serious job at Melbourne, just as Peter Jackson did. They both know how to run a big company, strengthen it... -
Very True. I imagine people inside North are feeling devastated today. No matter what support is ready and waiting. Sometimes it’s just not wanted at that moment. Paul Hester in 2005 was out walking his dogs when he just decided to not go home, another good friend.
-
Yep. The first step is asking for and accepting help. I had no idea my mate was in so much dark trouble. I knew there was some problems at work, but had no idea of the extent. When we met up he didn’t want to talk work. He was escaping....

I never said you were, BUT you don’t want the club to grow... And that attitude has been around for a long time “We are a small club and will always be that.” I have seen that written on here so many times over the past 14 years, and people wondered why i was cranky... We represent a Big City.
-
You will be jumping off soon because it will all become a little bit too hard, you have already stated that. That is exactly the attitude the MFC does not need right now going forward Get rusted on. The Club is going to grow. If i never get to another game, i shall always help the club Financially and will love seeing a Capacity Crowd jammed in to watch The Demons smash another hapless opposition
-
Sure you are. You don’t want the club to become Big. You want it to be small so you can get your seat. I have had enough of sitting in a huge stadium where i can count the supporters in other Grandstands. It is embarrassing. We are the Club of the City. We must work bloody hard to hold that privilege 100,000 will become our standard Membership as this City grows each week
-
Clubs always need Members OD. I NEVER want to see the MFC kicked around the league EVER again. Your attitude towards the future is very similiar to that of the club in 1965 and we all know how that panned out...

Pert's Plan to Make the Dees an AFL Power
Sir Why You Little replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep. Took a while before i realized that is the only option -
Attitudes like this have held us back for nearly 6 Decades now. OD wants a nice comfy seat in our 100,000 seat Stadium, but if it gets a little too busy, he will withdraw his Membership and Punish the Club... I want the MFC to have 300,000 passionate Members, who go to MFC Social Clubs around Melbourne to watch and Celebrate the team, when the MCG is booked out disapointed in you OD... maybe Nought is a better club for you
-
Pert spoke really well. He is seeking advice and ideas from “Melbourne” people before he stamps his operational style into the job. We will once again be a Big Club” where we always should have stayed. I have no doubt. “Get the kids on board before they turn 9...” 100,000 members within 5-10 years can be achieved with winning footy, played the right way
