The MFC Attitude is what i am talking about. What is it now that “The Help” has been and gone? are we any stronger or has nothing changed? This Club has been starved a lot longer than 5-6 years. It’s all part of our history.

I have said we have held onto players too long over 40-50 years. You have mentioned 5-6 years. I am waiting to see how strong the Board is NOW, after PJ and Roos have left and Bartlett is standing alone...

I am more worried about Attitude and long term injuries than age, at this stage. But i will be disappointed if Jones, AVB are playing next year Stretch is a great trainer but is very average on match day Omac has got 8 weeks to prove himself... The rest i need to think about...

Yes i know. But this Club has long form at changing over the list, the wrong way. We need to replace about 5-6 players at years end. The right players need to be moved on, sentiment must not be a factor

Totally agree. Seeing Jones line up on the MCG Wing earlier this year made me very angry. We Members were being treated like fools. How do you exit a player gracefully? ”time to go mate, we love you and welcome you back anytime. But your playing days with us have finished....” We have to be tough and fair. Lewis has 4 Flags under his belt to pass on knowledge, Jones has none of that sadly, but life is a tough journey

We have to get over just holding the spirit of the club together. That is one of our major problems Junior was a great servant, but his time was up as a major contributor I want sustained success at the top of the ladder, then we celebrate great careers, as we did decades ago under Norm’s reign.

Exactly right. An MFC Template, that can deal with changing players. Injuries are always 2 minutes away....they are not new

What you say has some merit, but we are not the first team to play a Final Series and then send players to hospital. Meth Coke and The Filth were also hit hard. They dealt with it and sorted out a plan B, whilst we have not

First time i have agreed with TGR The attitude of the MFC after the Preliminary Final was always a worry to me. I haven’t seen any change since then, except a lot of words and promises

Big words Macca. I have observed for 48 years what doesn’t work at the MFC 1. Lack of Leadership 2. Work ethic deficiencies Year after Year If you think my observations are somewhat juvenile, i don’t particularly care tbh, because this club is not like the 17 others, we are in our own little cocoon, and if you think it is going to be broken through conventional methods, it is you who are naive. The Departure of Roos and then PJ has proven that. As soon as they were both out the door ? the whole place has fallen to pieces. A sad reality Stephen May’s Attitude onfield is an excellent addition. Standards must be raised, something our current Captains are incapable of enforcing.

I have read what you wrote and i disagree. Our Leadership onfield has been shiithouse for years. No one is accountable. Who sets the examples? Certainly not Jones or Viney i loved seeing what May did on Sunday. More of it please. I lack experience?? In what?? You have no idea what i have been through in 56 years. These well paid Snowflakes who represent The MFC need to get real or just go. Other Clubs can change systems in a matter of days. At Melbourne it takes years, and then it is too hard. Things don't work at the MFC, that is the problem...has been for decades, Seeing someone on the field REALLY care that a mistake was made, and that it was not good enough was music to my ears. Hope he gives Jones or Viney a blast when they butcher a basic skill too, things may actually change for the better Our on field leadership has been shocking for so long.
