Anything other than finals is a a failed year. We should always think that way. For too long we have made up the numbers within the AFL and been content enough with that. if Bartlett and Goodwin want to leave their mark on the Club long term, then they and their support staff must demand that result. When we do not make finals, we identify what went wrong and fight tooth and nail to rectify it. I am hoping this is what is happening right now. The good clubs make September, we as Supporters and Members should expect to be there.

Sure is. We can chat from home. why would i go into a “Club Room” to vent. Once the Team is winning people will gravitate towards each other. it is all priorities. Get the Motor running first, tuned up and purring. Then build on that

I know enough about Leadership. You can blame the Leadership Group for deficiencies if you wish, mistakes and decisions may well have been wrong. But the 2 Leaders of the Team must step down after such a shocking year.Leadership has been an on going problem at this Club I never Rated Jones as a Captain, although he did his very best. Grimes and Trengove to be given Captaincy was a sad joke and proved the club was a total mess at the time. Max is a Leader, who gives his all weekly and inspires use him

Why are people so obsessed with having a place to go after the game?? As a Member i want all my money to go to the Football Department, everything else is an add on. If you win Games People want to watch

Some of this i agree with. Benny Gale was a neighbour of mine 20 years ago. Had drinks with him a few times. Top Bloke, was not suprised when he took over Richmond. A very sharp operator. but i bet my left ball that Benny looked at The Richmond Football Department as the first place to sort out and worked his way out from there. Priorities, get the team functioning and then the other areas start to roll. We saw momentum in 2018, but it broke badly. Why? it wasn’t the Supporters or a lack of a Social Club, it was inside the Football Department

We are different. The MFC grew from a Stadium, not a Suburb. But we do not use the name Melbourne enough. Melbourne as the Name of a big City. I am well aware of that. Have said it for years. but you and i are Fundamentally opposed as far as Operating Systems are concerned. A big Shiny Building will mean nothing if the Club is not winning. You Speak of Supporters running the win or lose mentality, that is only partially true. If the Football Department and Board are not running well, the Supporters will make no difference at all (Richmond were mostly Hot Air for 37 years, same can be said for Essendrug and Carlscum, lots of Hot Air lately) MFC Supporters have put up with far more crap than most, yes we could be louder, but how many times can you be let down?? 2019 was beyond a disgrace, and a social Club will not help matters at this point. It’s Football Department matters that need addressing. we need wins for relevance in a tight market, not a place for Birthday ? Parties ?

I want to see Wins on the weekend. You want to spend money on Bells and Whistles Get your priorities in order MFM If you are building a Race Car, the first part you work on is the MOTOR. That is the the Core. The Core Business of The MFC is to win games of Football. Get that right and then expand into the areas you dream of. If we do not start winning regularly then a brand new facility will become a soulless ghetto very quickly

Whoever was Captain in 2019 should be replaced. Whatever duties they performed failed. That is the reality. 2018 is a long time ago now...

Yes. Win Games. Just do it. The rest is just Bullshite wallpaper. If we are to go into Hock I would rather pump big $$$’s into the Football Department than build a Social Club. there is good and bad debt. Winning breeds interest and finance.

If Goodwin has aspirations to be a long term AFL Coach, we will play finals in 2020 and win more than we lose I think the Burgess appointment is going to help shape a very different Footy Dept.
