  1. yes i heard it. Very interesting & i agree. If we do lose the right to use high draft picks IT WILL put the club back years. Not might, IT WILL. we not only lose picks and stagnate, other clubs all benefit from our exclusion....
  2. nice try though dm....
  3. Stand alone Reserves side. Should have happened at least 2 years ago. Over $40 mill goes through the MFC every year. That deserves full control of on field operations. Not 90% Not 95%....The lot.
  4. Hahahahahaha...has cardiac arrest but still does not stop laughing Hahahahaha.... Thanks i needed that!
  5. the crux of the matter. Maybe we need to get "Barry the Baptist" from "Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrells" onto the case...
  6. Sadly i cannot see "Curtain Raisers" at the MCG. Too many clubs now use it as a Home venue. If Melbourne got permission to do it, who would stop the other renters? I would love to see it but it would take a massive shift in HQ thinking & strategy.
  7. The Elwood RSL ceased trading overnight in August. The doors were just locked. Nobody has returned. They had a room full of pokies. I am not sure if it was the main reason. But I would be wary of pokies. I think Melbourne has enough of them already spread throughout. But a social club is a great opportunity if the council allows it. Very interesting scenario. Could be a goldmine out there in terms of membership. I agree with OD. Lets see what the board do with this one.
  8. The VFL is dying a slow death, sadly the gap between AFL & VFL revenue streams is just too big.
  9. Was the same agenda there for Freo when CS worked there? Or has this all been from the latest board?
  10. Cheers my mum put me on to that one...i have it on the HD but haven't watched it yet...i will for sure.
  11. so anything legal has to cone from a singular person? That is astounding!!Not doubting your word at all. You are obviously above this spiders web.
  12. I watched a couple of eps of "Yes Minister" last night. Anyone who has not seen it. I strongly urge you to do so. It was made in the 80's but the script & acting is as sharp and clever today as it was then. Nothing in Politics changes very much.
  13. so Jnr am i right in saying that as a club the MFC just has to stand there and cop the shite that Wilson & co throw at them? There must be a point of cut off.
  14. If the MFC or employees end up with "no case to answer" i would expect some legal action to follow toward those who hurled the mud. This story won't go away for a few years yet.
  15. Still waiting to read her article on Richmond.
  16. I would love to see the Age whipped in court. If it is a winnable case. Bring it on. It won't effect the team. But it will give us better Journo's.
  17. isn't that what i am saying...
  18. Good. Will make her look even more silly and personally driven if this is true.
  19. pretty much in agreement with you. Not willing to make a call on CC yet. It is so far only Wilson who has produced a sword.
  20. no. I would expect the club to go to court and fight hard. But that wasn't the question asked in the thread.
  21. the bigger picture is that Wilson COULD be in a lot of strife. She went early and very hard on what now looks to be shaky evidence. That said. I don't think we are even near finishing this yet. But if i was CS or CC i would keep a long memory.
  22. free Agency will help the situation i agree. But it is still a huge wack. The reason we are accused of this mess is precisely high draft picks.
  23. It would be a massive hit. Don't kid yourself. It's what the other clubs gain whilst we get nothing.
  24. i think the AFL would be fully prepared to open the can wide open to finish this very damaging situation.
  25. Thanks Dean. You were just doing your job. The players welfare is important to you. Now Wilson go and investigate Wallace & Cotchin please... Do ya job and not make it personal.
