  1. There's a little bit of support for Frawley (Chippa), for a starting defender in the line-up next year. May just get a spot on the interchange bench in our line-up i reckon.
  2. Like your thoughts on Garland. Garland did drift down to the forward line against Richmond. Kicked a goal. maybe we might see a bit more of him down there this week, courtesy of Bailey. We could see this next year when Rivers is back in. The 7th most voted defender on Demonland was in fact Frawley.
  3. He's no A.McLeod.................. PJ's example was just a snippet, thats all. Whelan?
  4. okay............
  5. Another HBFer.......
  6. Good point. Fingers crossed for that one.
  7. No I gathered that from what I thought was your vote - which was rather quick after i first posted... I shouldn't assume this...but your secret is safe.....unless you either plan on putting davey on the bench, emergency or are considering trading him? B)
  8. PJ chased him down. No good. Not worth trading for. KP players are the focus.
  9. Does that mean Jamar and White have no value? <_< If they have no value won't they be considered Dead Wood?

  11. I take it your putting Davey in the midfield?
  12. Feel free to give your opinions So far the Demonland voting members have decided on the most preferred back 6 defenders for 2009 as: - BACKS: WHELAN WARNOCK GARLAND H-BACKS: RIVERS MARTIN C.JOHNSON (Not necessarily in those positions) Now give us your Forward Six selections - Good luck! For the record my starting 6 are: - FWD: - SYLVIA MILLER WONAEMIRRI H-FWD: - DAVEY BATE ROBERTSON All the best.................
  13. Agree, Garland is better suited down back. Much like Rivers. Where do you see Whelan at?
  14. Well I reckon he might have to re-visit re:Meesen, with Warnock touted around. And as I have said before Jeff White is on thin ice. The smart thing might be if Warnock is to come then White is to go, keep Meesen for further development and another option if improvement comes to fruition to either keep / or trade. Leaving Jamar, PJ, Warnock & Meesen in the ruck stocks. You know Martin looks to be just as big as PJ (side comment) - (looking at a pic in Monday's paper)

I'd say he will on play next year. He's won our last two best and fairests. He can still play a close checking role. Look I'm not a huge wrap for him, but he's been a handy player for Melbourne. Who has done his job many times for the club. I'm curious of DB, I have got a feeling deep down he is a ruthless coach as far as list management goes, so look it won't surprise me at all if Macca misses the cut. But gee, its a big decision. DB has said, he is doing a job for the betterment of the club and organising a list for the future, whether or not he has an extension or not. This may have been what won him over at the interview process and was simply frank in his opinions, which won him the job.
  16. Police should of escorted Solomon from the field............its almost in the Leigh Matthews on Neville Bruns category.
  17. Sometimes to get your the Home games you want ie Friday night games/blockbusters, you have to give a little to the AFL, so lets put our hands up for next year and give to the AFL 5 interstate trips in return. The benefit is our young players get used to travelling, in preparation for a rapid improvement for the 2010 season. Then we'll ask for just 3 interstate trips in 2010 with more games at our G!!!!!!!!!! Let's plan for our players I say!
  18. Bailey was on record a few weeks ago re: Meesen, saying that he must improve and take some serious steps to improve over the next few weeks......may have to just grit the teeth and pay him out?
  19. He's Craig Cameron's baby. Cameron was spewing when he missed him in the draft and lost out to Adelaide. He followed his progress and picked him up last year with pick 37 i think. Bailey backed Cameron's expertise then. Cameron's gone and we're left holding the baby without the bath water! I hope it wasn't a 3 year contract....
  20. You've been quoted. And how many years away do you think we are from finals?

Just on Macca, where to from here with him? I think he is a required player who will be chosen for tagging or stopping jobs by DB....some of suggested he's time is up. I think he has still a couple of years up his sleeve.

You got me - I have none. I guess our depth is low. Would you seriously consider playing Carroll out of the goalsquare? Is that a move for the future? Or does it go towards shoring up 15th spot?
