  1. trac will never go to a club he doesn't want to go to he either gets to the club he wants to or he doesn't - a trade has to be mutual or it fails, full stop p.s. he aint going to go to anywhere other than (the city of) melbourne for obvious brand reasons
  2. yeah right just wait till he nominates a certain club of his choice and digs in contract system is broke and it's all on the afl's usual incompetence we are getting done over big time
  3. let's assume this is true what then do you think is the motive of people in the club leaking such info?
  4. in your browser go to settings and turn off javascript for the age site domain. voila paywall disappears
  5. yeah, i knew that, or at least i saw that. it is still just more indirect info look i don't doubt there is probably discussions at some level. there is not necessarily anything sinister with a least listening and exploring. i'm still not convinced on who reached out to who, journos have a way of flipping those conversations
  6. still hearsay (no criticism of chook intended) but let's assume he has talked to freo, he has friends there, they suggest a chat, what's the harm when i worked there were a number of times i had chats with other companies, at their behest, offering me a job. i wasn't looking for another job at the time but a combination of being curious and the fact they were well known to me , i went ahead with the chats. don't get me wrong, i'm not saying he doesn't have any interest because i just don't know but i'm still hopeful he's not and until i hear something a bit more authentic, i'll cool my jets
  7. but this is still hearsay
  8. how long ago did he just sign a very lucrative long contract???? rhetorical question
  9. well when people imply he has no local family support I'll keep correcting them not saying 1 family member is always adequate but it's a huge difference to none and sisters are prettyclose additionally i'm sure other teammates families can assist from time to time. we also have club welfare officers so it is not necessarily as bleak as some would say
  10. you don't consider his wife's sister as family support?
  11. give it a rest dt we know he had trauma and mental shock he's not the first sportsman to have a serious injury and surgery that's hardly a good reason to try and break a long term lucrative contract and throw your own club under a bus all this without the courage to issue a statement or interview and just watch the daily carnage as the untruths and misinformation fly in all directions. he's torching himself and all his team-mates for what? something called a brand
  12. quality journalism
  13. does anyone know where kozzy is at the moment? melbourne or wa?
  14. well, that turned out to be a non-event fizzer ... must have p155ed off the voracious, click-baiting scribblers
  15. and bugger the distraction to the club who actually pays him more than handsomely
  16. given we have so many player welfare people these days maybe what we need in the future is a player brand welfare officer to handle any brand fallout mental issues.
  17. on the other hand, they say bad publicity is good publicity, so i expect prospective sponsors must be beating down the club doors as i post ... right?
  18. it's incredible how two players on dream contracts can cause such a maelstrom ... and neither has made a single public utterance yet is this chaos by proxy? have player managers been studying up on iranian geopolitical tactics?
  19. i saw him at a game this year, early in the season
  20. the obvious solution is to offer tracc the presidency or ceo position (or both) player, brandcp5 and ceo/presidency should keep him busy and not distracted you know it makes sense
  21. well his wife's sister does live in melbourne (both are darwin girls not wa girls) so he does have some family support here
  22. just curious. how is that different from every news source these days?
  23. according to another poster she didn't because she isn't
  24. it's more that dane swan rarely says anything of any worth ... ymmv
  25. ok, we'll leave it that
