CHANGES: Rd 11 vs Fremantle
it's interesting to note that the chicken wing incident had no bad outcome but was still heavily penalised. that is to say that the mro/tribunal normally place more penalty based on the outcome rather than the action and its potentiality. but here the emphasis was reversed. i think the penalty here was about right, but again it begs the question of mro consistency

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
port adelaide were called Cockledivers, Seaside Men, Seasiders, Mudholians, Dustholians, and Magentas, before settling on Magpies then powa that first one could have easily been confusing, but i prefer mudholians

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
nah sorry, it's purely a south melbourne heritage culture thing (at least for victorians) no south melbourne connection and there would be no "bloods" the name south melbourne bloods changed to south melbourne swans in 1933 but that didn't mean the nickname bloods disappeared then. people in melbourne up until they left for sydney still knew about the bloods and many supporters still kept using the name.

2022 Free Kick Differential
clearly doesn't have to be 2 motions, as can be attested by chandler getting 2 weeks suspension. langdon did hit the back of his head on the turf and thomas was fortunate there was no concussion

For what it’s worth, I say today that I think the Tom Browne/Jackass comparisons are linked in the sense that both know jackshyte about what they are braying about

Ben Brown 150 games
given 150 games is 3 x his jumper number, i expect he will kick 3 goals just for the sake of numerology

Chandler Tackle
the mro are the arbiter, rightly or wrongly the mro adjudicated hawkins (very similar) tackle as not even worthy of a fine. it's on the record. there's your case for an appeal meanwhile the afl can do a better job of defining exactly what is a suspendable tackle versus an unfortunate footy action. and they can explain why they didn't appeal the hawkin's case if they are sincere.
-
Chandler Tackle
because precedents are important. less than 6 months ago hawkins did a very similar tackle causing concussion and not only was he not suspended, he wasn't even fined the mro never explained why these cases are different how do you train players to tackle if you can't properly define what is a suspendable tackle and what is just an unfortunate football action or even a non-culpable accident

Top 8 Now Fixed - according to history
you'd like tigriphobia then. 😹

Chandler Tackle
chandler's suspension is generating very little comment in the media obviously because he's not a big name player imagine if it had been a top player, it would be being debated ferociously and most likely appealed pretty obvious that sadly, it's not about the action but all about a player who just doesn't rate

Farewell Luke Jackson
