Michael Evans upgraded from rookie list
Roost It replied to Heart Beats True's topic in Melbourne Demons
There's plenty of room. -
Shouldn't be a problem
-
FFS Fev won't ever play for the MFC, give it up.
-
Is that why they don't sell ham?
-
As soon you explain the last 47 years I'll explain Brad Green
-
He means he loves watching footy but got sick of the dribble we served up so he moved on.
-
He hasn't played a good game for over 2 years. Injuries are only part of the problem. Natural development doesn't mean running past packs looking for a cheap kick, that's poor coaching.
-
He should be otherwise players like Dunn will keep clogging our list.
-
Why our club is still on the critical list.
Roost It replied to Roost It's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's exactly why we need the culture to change in a hurry. We have the talent we just don't have the FD or the belief to turn them into a premiership team. -
Of course clubs would be looking at an out of contract player of Morton's quality. The fact that Morton is playing for Casey means he's struggling... simple
-
I didn't change the goalposts and maybe I am a loser for supporting this irrelevant club. My attitude is entirely different to the club and will remain that way for awhile yet.
-
No I rate Geelong very highly. Ablett left after achieving plenty and falling out with the coach. Very different to leaving because a club's culture is sick. It's not about impatience it's about belief and we don't have it.... plain and simple... We're losers and we know it.
-
We were talking hypothetically
-
Our lack of a positive culture isn't. Nor is our lack of resources. Nor is our inability to get the most out of players. Good clubs don't lose players of Morton's ability.
-
As with other small clubs we lack the resources(cash) to guarantee our success. Worse still we lack the belief. Belief is an intangible quality that takes time to instill in an organisation. Virtually all the players we have recruited over the last few years came to the club with a strong sense of belief in not only their abilty but in themselves. Trengove shows it, Scully shows it, Frawley owns it, Watts has it. However Green clearly doesn't have it, I seriously doubt whether he truly believes that we can be the best. What did we do, we made him Captain. That's not Brad's fault entirely. The club as a whole hasn't had the belief at any stage since the 60's. That's a long time to tread water. Actually we didn't even tread water we sank and almost drowned. In came Jimmy, A true believer as his remarkable fight against cancer has shown. I bet he can't wait to handover the leadership of this club to the young players I mentioned. It won't be until these players are leading on the field that this club will have a chance to rise up. Green, Davey, Rivers and Moloney are are leaders. Who here wouldn't swap them for Trengove, Scully, Frawley and Watts, not to mention Grimes. Personally I'd move Bailey on at the end of the year, along with several of our terminally mid range players and put this group in charge. It's not until players who really believe that they are the best can this club truly believe again. It can happen but it won't happen overnight.

He's the product of a poor football culture that exists at MFC. The kid has talent to burn we just don't know how to get at it.
-
It would be a shame to lose him. i betya he be playing one's at collingwood.
-
It's Morton they want.
-
If you check you'd find there's about 32% of the leagues players coming out of contract at years end.
-
He pays a manager to do this for him. His manager says wait and see so he does...Relax, he's not going anywhere.
-
Rohan Bail (knee) - 4-6 weeks - Evans Jack Fitzpatrick (ankle) - 7-9 weeks - Cook Colin Garland (ankle) - 6-8 weeks - Rivers Jack Grimes (foot) - season - Strauss Mark Jamar (knee) - 3-5 weeks - Gawn Jared Rivers (ankle) - test Tom Scully (knee) - 3 weeks Jake Spencer (knee) - season Didn't that go from good to bad quickly.

No Newton starting rucking when we were 30 points up about 2/3 of the way through the first quarter. No doubt North had lifted but we had several more forays forward. The assertion that Newton only played well because of our midfield is really stating the obvious. Most forwards play there best football when the midfield is on top as that's how the ball gets into the forward line. A full forwards role is to provide a target and kick goals. When not doinfg this he should be assisting in goals. Newton did all of that in the fifst 20 minutes on saturday. He played very well and it was a por decision to move him...Period.... or maybe you missed that. I'm happy for you to add smart arse comments at the end of your posts but in the future check your facts.

The longer the suspension the better. It was such a typical "tough" moment from a soft player. To scared to gut run, to scared to have eyes only for the ball, to scared to play this game only to win. But tough enough to go knees first into a players head who is competing for the ball. Throw the book at him. The sooner the club is rid of players of his ilk the better. WE NEED MALTHOUSE
