Our forward works with or without Jesse. Successful forward lines are built on getting the footy down there consistently to create opportunities to score, therefore the mid and backs really decide the game. We have goal kicking mids to support our forwards and two very good existing forwards which will mark or bring it to grounds, and both a have lots of years left so there is no desperate need for Jesse. However, having Jesse roaming the ground would be great for us. But in the end the club holds all the cards they can decide if they want to trade and on what terms for this trade period. Many times clubs haven't traded a player who wanted out and he went onto a great career with that club. How a player feels know doesn't always mean they will be the same in 12 months. Even if we don't get a good deal he is only restricted next year and we can match and then trade him to Freo. I guess its now watch this space.

Every year Freo are reported to make a big pitch for a key forward. Same as every year SA teams made a pitch for Pavlich to return to SA, he never did. Hogan aerobic ability is huge for a key player, he does not need to play close to goal, true modern KP fwd.

I posted after the round 22 that we slipped a lot in that game too. Aren't most boots universal, I was thinking maybe the grass is still getting deep roots??? At times it did cause turnovers that resulted in goals I noticed Pie's players also slipped in their final there.

Cox is a confidence player, stop him early and he will have minimal impact and big part of that is pressure in the mid, where we currently excel.

The pies are playing above themselves tonight, hard to do that 2 weeks in a row as it takes a lot out of the team mentally and physically. We have been consistent for the last 4 games.

Yeah I hate it, no games just before finals..gives advantage to the lower teams to refresh for the next set of games.

Like us the pies have improved their gameplay over the season, like us they are peaking at the right time. Almost a parallel development. We can't match and surpass them.

The WC won it with their crumbling, always collecting the loose balls at the base of packs. We're very strong in that area as our boys know run hard. The worry is Kennedy, but the only game practice he can get is an intra club. But first we need to put the hawks out.
