  1. Hi Does anyone have details on whether this is legit. Just came through my Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/events/792873202081596/?ref=newsfeed Just doesn't look professional in any sense.
  2. Us and Adelaide (Unfortunately) have done well in retaining our lists compared to others. Which says a lot about our respective cultures. What is to be seen is how they design eh home and away fixtures and who it favour. I imagines the expansion teams will be playing each other primarily.
  3. Are we on the Judd or Kennedy side of that equation?
  4. Trades can't been seen in isolation but part of a bigger plan. Though I expect Taylor doesnt want to try and find a replacement quite yet. :)
  5. Hah, I'm in Perth and that would have been widely reported. The Sumich "news" would be a massive risk considering the players they need to resign to keep their well developing list together. Also they already have 2 very handy rucks and Dogga is not a key forward. So where does he fit into their team? They had trouble getting Fyfe back in based on the current team structure. And given the previous StuffIts i.e. Hogan and others, would they risk so much for a young player.
  6. Gawn has been very durable over the last few years. While not ideal its an opportunity for others to step up within the team. The silver lining, it give Gawn a chance to get a good rest for the remainder of the season to lose all those niggling injuries.
  7. I can handle losing. But how could we we let a spud like Cox look great. Plays a great game every 4 years.
  8. Yeah that's the latest report. Was it just taking the [censored] out of his mate sledge or had a bit more malice in it? Either way May is a good judge of football ability in terms of success :) Missing must really burn in Melksham which is fair enough, but what has be shown in his games this year to keep his spot. From what I can see on TV telecast, he still doesn't do the hard work required by the team.
  9. Nope, and we have two threads on the event. Can someone merge them :) While its was stupid by the players, if we enforce standards it must be for all players. Clubs rules on drinking while injured for concussion.
  10. Just released.. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/1144624?fbclid=IwAR1ReeNDOWdDP0Mo0WHlDCTR76MDTNAqN8UEH0X4cdrVFTkJZZve-BaUi4Q
  11. Sydney is always a danger game. They played really well tonight all over the ground, especially in defence. They kept their structure really well leaving pap alone closet to goal and 1:1 which is to their advantage. But the last few weeks our skill level has dropped, more errors, wayward kicks and missing pickups we used to get in 1 touch. Hopefully its heavy training loads to setup the second half of the season. It'll be good to get May back, Tmac role hasn't;t been replaced and it shows. His lead up work and good contested marking is missing from our team structure. Brown was okay tonight, BBB is not having a good patch.
  12. It was coming, but up to half time we were in control. Losing May and then petty under duress with his ankle changed the game. Their tall fwd's dominated. The biggest shift was the form of Viney/Oliver after h/t, they really dropped off. And Trac must be carrying something. Either way the team had a shocker after 1/2 time and couldn't get control back. The question on Freo is them doing that every week, at this stage they can't. Plus they had lots go right for them after h/t but they took their chances and did it.
  13. Rang the club about a week ago. All GFG tickets have been sold. Was a bit slow due to lots of bias. Whether that means non priority 2 membership will get a look in I don't know? But the family has 6 priority 2 membership with long memberships. Hopefully that will make a difference :). There has been a trend of giving more tickets to the clubs at GF's but its still pretty low compared to the total crowd. Then the trick will be getting a affordable flight from Perth at short notice.
  14. Its both. You need a good system, but you then need players that can implement that system consistently. That is both talent and attitude. At the moment we have all three and it shows. Other teams have had it (Hawks, Tigers, cats), but we see when over time when talent gets older its harder to maintain the system. So ongoing development and refreshing the list is important.
  15. About 4 years too late. He'd be a late draft pick now you would think.
  16. Good interview. I think they said he's 35 now. He did say he could beat Jackson in the ruck, but couldn't match him around the ground. Jackson is still learning his craft.
  17. It was a decent game to watch, which surprised me. Well done to North by bringing their best. Is it just me, but watching on TV, our jumper looking like a Christmas jumper (When there were no close up footage). I think last years was a better "Footy" jumper, far less busy.
  18. Pray for rain, The rest will take care of itself :) Milk didn't impress what I saw on TV, doesn't run hard enough defensively compared to his teammates. But was that his job?? Hopefully Viney and Langdon pulls up okay.
  19. Didn't realise she only played 4 games. I guess I'm getting her confused with another player. As for Tayla Harris, I think our culture is better from the snippets we have seen, i.e the coach of the year award vid. Also as a group they a close to winning the GF for the first time which will hold them together. Even over the last few years we don't have massive movement of our players compared to other clubs.
  20. If we were just talking about his ruck role, ye, we'd let him go as you can bring in a mature ruck from another club, and if he breaks even you can build around that. But is value and importance around the ground is immense, that a "ruck" often does not achieve and we should hang onto him as that is what separates him from many other rucks int he comp.
  21. I was going to make a joke that there was nothing being said at Arden street as they put up the for sale sign and left. But then that led to be us :( They are lucky they have no debt otherwise they'd be in more trouble than we ever were.
  22. Mโ€™ore importantly, how does it change tipping for this weekends game?
  23. If we can keep our core together we'll be in with a good shot again, as most as young. Crows will helpfully lose a few more. I think some are waiting for "big" singings to see where to move.
  24. Going to he game. But not expecting a great spectacle. I don't think we'll smash them. We just play our system and accumulate a score around 100 I think. Their lowest score ever was 1.12 in 1989, I'd like to see us break that :)
  25. What a mess, but I do find it strange that things like this didn't come our in the original airing of the problems. Therefore it may be an individual trying to generate more attention for whatever reason they have. From what I read none were racist in nature but inappropriate actions in a work place by some individuals. Either way they seem a long way from sorting out the mess for all parties.
